Tenn at UK Game Thread
I did not see one, so here we go. UK 25-22 with 5:13 left. Both teams are underwhelming. UT typically shows flashes (esp. in terms of athleticism), but generally looks poor and do not play smart. They've had a few gimme rebounds, only to fumble them to UK.
We really should go 3-1 vs. these teams. A double broom would be nice.

I'm just not sure if the UK team is going to get what it takes. This is painful to watch. I think Goodwin is one of the most unlikeable ball hog that I've seen in a long time. Just hope to survive at home which pisses me off!!!

I absolutely hate this team. Have no idea what to expect in the 2nd half!! They just don't have the chemistry to do much this year!! Calipari should not have to yell instructions the whole damn game.

I don't know, I can see a double broom at this point.
I think Goodwin has a killer instinct (too much much of the time) that we could certainly use other players having as well. Honestly I don't see much offesive output from this team and I think Goodwin creating becomes our best option. The stat where Goodwin has shot more FT's than any other player in the league I think shows this isn't the worst strategy in the world - especially when we appear to have so few options.

I personally loved the 4 on 1 that Goodwin decided not to pass and tried to dunk on the one defensive man. MKG would have beat his ass on the court and he deserved it!!

Jeff I gotta say, I defended Goodwin, but my twitter feed agrees with you.

They both look painfully bad. That said, I bet when we play them they turn into the '93 Bulls.

Florida, esp. if healthy, is much better than either team, but UK and UT have a way of playing lights out at home against the Gators. While a two-team sweep is possible, I could also see 2-2. Much depends upon the health of the teams when they play.
Hakadoula just fouled out for UT. Look for UK to take charge. 56-54 UK with 6:47 left.

Jeff, these kids are young. I mean they LOOK young and they play like it. Enjoy your success from last year and be patient. These guys are not one-and-doneworthy.

I am a very patient person but some of these players are driving me mad. Last year was nice but that's in the rear view mirror. They may not be one and done worthy but I bet all 4 do leave.

I see no way these kids can leave, Jeff. Even your coach has the integrity to inform them of their developmental needs.

I can guarantee you two and the other two are 75% gone!! You are right they shouldn't leave but they are.

Cal has encouraged several players to return who have ended up leaving anyway. What advice he gives really isn't the determining factor. I know one thing. Noel shouldn't be lumped in with the others IMO.

Well we won but we have a ton to do and it's mid January!! We are well behind the upper tier of the SEC! Just glad we could beat a UT team at home that isn't very good!!

I have a feeling UT plays tougher against the Gators at Knox than UK in Lex. Gators paste UT at home, but squeak out a tough one against Uk.

The bottom line is right now UF beats us by 25 in Gville and ten in Rupp. Thank goodness we have a month I wished it was 3 to get better!!
