You don't have to scream to be a vocal leader, you can quietly be a vocal leader..

I would say you have to show enthusiasm to be a leader and also be vocal. At no point during last year did I ever see Driskel be over enthusiastic or very vocal at all.

Lol how do you know what he does on the sidelines or says in the locker room he doesn't have to get really hyped and scream to be a leader, Tom Brady just talks to his players along with Peyton

I think a lot of people compare being a vocal leader to Tebow.

I say let it be an open compitition in the spring. Whoever shows out the best earns the #1 jersey. But if I had the choice. I give it to Purifoy and only Purifoy. There isn't a player who has earned it on offense. I really think you take it away this season on offense and tell the kids if someone earns it this year they'll get it next year.

Your right we dont know what he says or does.
But from our viewpoint he doesnt seem like the team leader.
Look at other qb's for instance Aj McCarron
You can tell he's all in he controls that offense.
Look what happened in the NC with him and Barrett Jones.
Taj Boyd, Geno Smith, Matt Barkley, Johnny Football, even Marcus Mariotta you can tell these guys lead their offense.
There was no evidence all season that driskel was our leader

Yea but think about how confident he is... AJ and co have a lot more confidence in their offense... Let Jeff get confident in that offense and get some pride about what he's doing, and it will show...

A leader shows leadership no matter how bad his offense is.
Think about it like this we can all agree our receivers were awful.....
Not once did I see Jeff get on to them about running a wrong route or dropping a pass.
Same goes for our line, i never saw him say come on guys pick it up.
Maybe they would have done better if Jeff was in their ear.
Not saying he should put them down, or curse at them, just let them know they need to step it up

That type of leadership from Jeff would've been a great thing to see, though I'm not sure he didn't attempt to motivate the guys; maybe it just wasn't caught on camera.

A lack of confidence leads to lack of leadership... If he has absolutely no confidence, which I know he didn't you could tell by how he was, then he will not show too much leadership... I think he needs to learn first that its his team, then everyone follow... The thing with Tebow was he knew it was his team, and everyone else offense and defense also knew the same...

3 number 4's no wonder Debose seemed lost in the shuffle this past season

Actually it was at starting QB. Everett Golson wears #5.

They should give it a rest; seems to send a "me" message when we need more "we" messages.

It will probably be Trey Burton or Dunbar on offense and then either Purifoy or ROPO
