So, Monte recently got the DC job with the Cowboys.

There were a few threads out there that Lame had hired Cal's DC, Clancy Pendergast, as the replacement, but now those threads have magically disappeared and no announcement made. Seems like Clancy wised up.

Kiffin will get another good job at the college level if and when he is fired at USC because of how much the intense coverage of recruiting and it's vital importance has evolved. Recruiting is no longer just the means to an end (winning games) but an end to itself. Go to an SC board. They don't care about the Sun Bowl loss (just as many here don't care about the Sugar Bowl loss) or that their coach looked like he was hiding from the police. They just care about the number of 5 star recruits they will sign. As long as Kiffin keeps delivering on national signing day his job is secure as dumb as that is.
