So Clark is definitely plenty fast.

Followed the link and I saw a 10.43 time for Clark last season. That's world class time for a high school junior.

If I were him I'd probably go to OSU, but I sure hope Joker convinces him to come to UF.

Well, Florida has a 5 other capable WRs this class for starters. Also, I think a guy like Clark could prosper in a spread offense with Miller at QB. There's no one in the B1G that'll be able to catch him.

I'd put OSU in front of Clemson, but if I was going to recommend a school other than UF, it would be Northwestern. He'd get on the field in no time. If he ended up getting injured or turns out to be a bust, he still gets to walk away with a degree from Northwestern.

But, if Clark wants the best of both worlds, academics and athletics, he should come to Florida and be a student athlete here.

Then really, why mention them at all? Do you even understand that making a statement that a player would be better off somewhere else is, in fact, promoting the other team? For Pete's sake...that seems pretty obvious to me.
I also couldn't disagree more with your analysis of the situation. Meyer ran the ball to the nearly exclusive benefit of only one receiver his entire time in Gainesville. That receiver was, of course, Percy Harvin. Harvin was great in Meyer's offense because he was big enough and physical enough to handle the hits he took running jet sweeps, bubble screens, and short dump offs. Even then he spent alot of time recovering from injuries because Meyer doesn't spread the ball around to lots of players in his "spread" offense which has a tendency to get his star favorite player hurt alot.
His offense is also so run heavy we are just now recovering from the drought of top receivers totally avoiding our team for fear they'd have no real ability to shine as play makers.
Add to these facts that we have really no proven wide receivers and coming in as a speed guy like Clark would give him a chance to find plays that would suit him over all our other current commits.
We had no...I repeat...NO real special teams guy stand out this year either. That means the potential to establish himself as the next Brandon James/Jeff Demps on kick returns in his freshman year.
Seems to me like Florida is a perfect fit.
Now for the icing on the cake, we are Florida and Ohio State is a cold gray skied, rust belt dump. Our coach is young, energetic, and on the rise. Their coach is a lying head case who could drop from a bad ticker, quit because a better job popped up, or just turn everything over to his crappy offensive line coach because he has acid reflux after pizza one night. Why the hell would anybody choose that over Florida?

In the recruiting forum we often discuss why or why not a recruit would come to UF or other schools, which is all I was doing. IMO UF is not always the best option for every recruit, despite how bad we want it to be. I didn't think acknowledging this fact would be so controversial. If you listen to Clark discuss his talk with UM, you get the idea that it's a place where he could see himself going and there's a reason why. Regardless, I've said numerous times that I'd love to see Clark in orange and blue so get over it.

So am I supposed to defend OSU and UM now? I mentioned OSU because they are legit threat to land him and therefore our competition for his services. I never made any negative comments about UF, but we are on the verge of having an embarrassment of riches at WR this class. I'm sure JC never considered that and my words will steer him to Columbus. Please.

Really? I find it funny that out of all the posts directed at you, you pick the one intended as a joke to get your feelings hurt over. Must be the time of the month.
Also when you start trying to educate someone about what's being discussed on a forum, it'd help if you actually took place in the forum.

Saying another team would be the better fit for a need position doesn't sound like the smartest thing to say. You say we're fixing to have an embarrassment of riches but they haven't even stepped on the field yet. Id say 1 more wouldn't hurt.

Your post was the most recent at the time of my response, so I'm not sure what you are trying to hint at but I also don't care. The same can be said for the rest of your comments.

That's what I thought your next post would be when shown to be wrong. Explains the history or lack thereof.
