The investigation is taking a long time because Shapiro was involved with a lot of athletes over several years. And these are big names like Winslow, Vilma, McGahee, Hester, and Wilfork. Guys who helped them win a lot of games, a few of them against us that I would love to see vacated.
Who knows how much information they had to gather, examine, and make decisions about and all the people they had to interview.

It's the NCAA. Only the government could take longer.

I may be wrong, but I believe vacated wins by Miami do not equal vacated losses for us. Thats the weird thing. We will still show losses vs. Them....they just wont have wins over us.
Isnt that right?

With FSU's vacated wins from Bowden and Miami's vacated wins from this maybe both teams will have losing records against each other. Not quite as good a meteor hitting the stadium when they're playing but...

They received the notice today but it's being kept quiet. Also, they have a thread on this thread on CanesTime so you're being watched. I want all of you to be on your worst behavior.

Why would their fan base, which mostly resides in NJ and NY, care what the Florida Gators think?

NOTHING is going to happen to them. Just look at what went on at USCw with Bush and they got nothing for that (imo)....just look at tosu and they got NOTHING with all that went on up there. F$U is another prime example of ACADEMIC fraud and NOTHING there either. That's 3 potential DEATH penalties that didn't happen. Here's another and it's NOT going to happen.

Yes you did stop our offense very well while there but yes I was holding a grudge. From the day you got here and every time I hear you speak and your excitement about coaching our Gators, working your tale off and being a straight shooter, you are now one of my all time favorite coaches. Thanks coach.

USC had 30 scholarships taken away and a 2 year bowl ban plus reductions in official visits and in house visits. They won't feel the full effect from those sanctions until 2014. That is hardly nothing.

Some details coming out on Haith:

Apparently Haith was giving money to his assistants, who were in turn giving it to Shapiro's mom. That sounds like a pretty serious violation.

Interesting theory, first I've heard that one. Made me laugh tho.
Most canes that ive heard, the ones that aren't in hiding, think they will skate. After all , they sacrificed their bowl games the last 2 years.

The politics, cultural and media connections involved here will wind up letting scum skate.
