I doubt this is what they thought, or the reason why they left.

Because all 45 juniors leaving will be first round draft picks.

Was that before or after LSU.s entire team entered the draft?

I don't know about Alabama last year but this year three players so far are leaving early, Lacy, Miliner, and someone else. We have five players leaving, not a huge difference.
As for why our guys are leaving, who knows exactly why, they each have their own reasons. But in general it's probably the obvious things, e.g. money, a belief that staying wouldn't improve their draft status, fear of an injury that would hurt their NFL chances, etc.

Jenkins was the only one who left that the coaches advised not to leave, according to this site. So we had 1 who listened to the coaches and one who didn't.

If anyone has played at this level you would know what these players go through putting
on pads and going at it day in day out. They get to go to college but to a lot of them that
is not enjoyable either. The chance to get paid to play is all that needs to be said.

I know. This is amazing isn't it, Every year anymore in the NFL Draft we see the same thing happen. So many, whether they be the media "experts" or big NFL fans, seem to think the first couple of rounds will be full of nothing but Juniors! Then every year the same shocking thing happens! Of all things Seniors are the majority taken in the first couple of rounds! And usually picked at the top of the Draft! So many are in disbelief that happened! Those Seniors, those guys, the ones who remained Loyal to their college teammates and Alma Mater actually are the big majority in opening rounds! What a shocker!

Jenkins was the only one the coaches advised not to leave. The others were ready.

Two who left (Floyd and Elam) were legit top three round picks.
The other two (Reed and Jenkins) had spent four years in the program as both were redshirted.
I can't blame any of them for leaving. Four full years in the program is more than enough of a commitment to the team.

Unless you are projected to be drafted in the first or second rounds, you have no business leaving.

nope it's still open, the SEC wont do anything out of fear for their lives, the NCAA doesn't care to say the least.

Yes they go to class, whether they take it serious or not it to be left up for debate but these idiots don't understand what they're having handed to them just because they can run fast or catch a ball.

I think you've got to look at each case individually. BUT, winning does help the case to stay. Bama is coming off a NC (so the feeling of winning is fresh) and they will rightfully be favored to win it again next year.

why doesn't the nfl adopt the same rule as the nba--you can play in the league after graduating high school.
