IIRC he never stepped foot on the field while a Gator.

Its human nature, or gator nature to only remember this players who got flipped, rather than the ones we flipped, but Urban had plenty.

Yeah good call, he flipped from Mich to Indiana, then to UF. Name was on the tip of my tongue.
By the way, I remember him coming out of nowhere but don't remember how it went about. This is what I found.
Gator coach Urban Meyer said Florida kind of stumbled into Finch.
"After appraising the top-100 list, I saw that he was ranked highly and I wanted to know where he was going," Meyer said.
"I knew Warren Central from my days at Notre Dame. I called the coach, and he said, 'Coach, you'll never believe this, but we just finished talking about Florida.' He played in the Orlando all-star game, and the kid loves Florida. Five minutes later, I was on the phone with (Finch). Without watching one speck of tape on him, I asked him if he wanted to come down for a visit. We thought he was a great kid and a good-looking safety, and his tape just solidified it.
"We offered him, and he decided to come. It's unbelievable because I didn't go to Indiana once the whole time."

Since this thread is already messed up. Meyer literally was sitting in his office looking at Rivals. He saw that a top safety was from a school where he knew the head coach. Meyer then called the head coach asked if the kid would be interested and set up a official visit.

It's a football thread discussing a recruit that flipped. How's the thread messed up? Who judges that btw?

I don't think he ever played for Cal, either. I believe he transferred before his freshman season started. He came here, sat out a year, then left before the season started, again. I think he went to a Junior College in Cali .... not sure if he's back in FBS football, or not.

The recruit-flipping thread moderator/judge does.
It's a thankless job I hear.

All this stuff said, this has got be to one of better LB classes that UF has had in a long, long time... at least potentially.

Kelly really left Cinn. in a low-class way. I can only speculate that Kelly must have made certain representations to some of his recruits (which were obviously false), and Anzalone realized that Kelly was full of shite.
IMO, another coach may have been able to get away with this stunt, however Kelly has a track record of not being true to his players. I'll give Urban some props.. When he left Utah, he showed some class by coaching them in the bowl game. Kelly abandoned ship at the first chance he had.

He definitely seems like the more shady one of the two brothers... I personally don't think he's that good of a coach, I mean he gave up before halftime... I personally liked watching Alabama butt rape his team...
