Kenny Kadji
I'm watching unc vs miami and it seems to me that Kenny Kadji is the best player on the floor...at least in this game. That kid has improved so much since he was at UF.

Two unbelievable blocks at the end of the game to prevent UNC from getting back into it. What was his story?

Was just about to come post a thread. The guy is an absolute beast and must weigh close to twice what he weighed when he got to UF. Glad to see that he is doing well, I just wish it could have been in Orange and Blue.

He is a freaking beast out there. I'm not even sure how many blocks he has but it has to be at least 4 that I've seen thus far. He's also shooting the 3 and driving to the rim. He had a monster slam earlier.
He is the best player on the court...

Incredibly sweet to watch UNC fall to 0-2 in the ACC.
Also wish we still had Kadji. Incredible transformation.

Kanji showed talent at uf . . I was excited about hi future. That said, he has really blossomed at um.

One of the funnest players to cheer for. Happy he is doing well, too bad it isn't while he is playing for the Gators.

Exactly, Kadji's Frosh season at UF fit nicely with Lee, Horford, Noah etc.

He hurt his back his second year and UF suddenly had a huge number of bigs so he transferred. Certainly any back injury for a tall guy can linger. I am happy for him that it was not.

I can't believe that's the same player. There was definitely potential, but he was quite possibly the most uncoordinated athlete I have ever seen while he was here. Happy things worked out for him.
I was really torn watching that game last night, I always want roy and unc to lose but I just hate miami so much.

we've had quite a share of players transferring, only to blossom nicely elsewhere
Off the top of my head
Green
Bogans
Abukar

Don't know that White belongs on that list, but Kadji need to RS at UF, just like he did at UM to grow up a bit. I recall a rumor he wasn't a fan of going to class and since we had other big men in front of him, his effort was minimal.

Ryan Appleby? Good player, but I would't say he blossomed at Washington. All I remember is his missed 3 against UConn in the tourney that they ended up losing in OT. Unlike Abukar and Bogans who carried their teams in the tourney, Appleby was a role player.

Billy saw a Noah-type with Kadji. He was right of course but it took longer to happen than Kenny could understand. Good for him doing well.

and Abukar and Boggans completely changed their bodies before they were able to do that, I'm sure much like Billy tried to get them to do.

Appleby was a role player at UW, but a solid contributor to some good teams - a lot better than he was at UF. Boggan was huge (no pun intended) for Oklahoma State, all conference, I think, and Abukar was solid for SD State. James White started on some good teams at Cincy and has been in and out of the NBA over the years (currently playing for the Knicks). Orien Greene was a solid mid-major guy and got himself drafted by the Celtics.
There are some other guys who transfered and did not end up doing so well (Al-Kaleem, for example).
Overall, a lot of this simply reflects the players maturing after their freshmen and (sometimes) sophomore years at UF. Especially after sitting out a year due to the transfer.

Not surprised. Kadji has always had a very high ceiling.
