Hallelujah, they're moving these games back to New Year's Day as well.

They will be on December 30th when they aren't hosting the title or semifinal games.
Yuck, real bowl games aren't played in December

Heard someone on the radio the other day say the Cotton Bowl would host the first of the play-off championship games. Guess that hasn't been finalized yet but I see they are in the running.

Shoehorning the BCS into the playoffs is so clunky. I doubt it lasts more than four or five years.

Why not have the 4 regular BCS bowl games and match up the top 4 teams among 2 of them...winner then goes to the standalone BCS championship game. Pretty much leave scheduling the way it is now, but rearrange the matchups in bowl games and rotate the semi-final locations each year as well as the championship. Why get the Cotton Bowl involved in any of this...

With the Cotton Bowl moving to Jerry World, it was bound to happen. Cowboys Stadium is state-of-the-art and can hold up to 105,000 people, 10,000 more than the Rose Bowl. It would be a huge spectacle for college football.

I'm confused now. We're talking about Cowboys Stadium now...not necessarily the actual bowl game. They could use the facility as a standalone championship game with the other 4 BCS bowls staying as is, but don't have to replace the actual Cotton Bowl match-up. I thought that what was being suggested earlier.

I posted this a couple days ago and no one responded.
Cotton Bowl most likely is going to be the first Championship with the new system.

Peach bowl is in it too if I am correct? That would be nice, I would go to Atlanta to see Florida play every year to get to a championship

Looks like its almost certainly Cotton Bowl but his reasoning doesn't add up. He says Cowboy's Stadium's ability to host 100k fans is one of the reasons but from what I see, Cowboy Stadium only has a capacity of 80k.

With standing room, it can hold 105,121. That is the record for a Cowboys game. Granted, those standing room tickets are in the end zone "party plazas", but it's still paid attendance for a championship game.

If that were the case then why not have all 3 games at the same bowl using a different bowl each year then?
