It takes a real special person to be a walk-on on a team like this, put in as much effort as everyone else, and only see a few minutes in garbage time in blow outs.
While players like this don't see a lot of PT they are essential in the preparation for the next game. It is their job to mimic what the next opponent does in practice. I am sure that the other players and the coaching staff value this WAY more than the casual fan. I value it and clearly the guys on the bench do because they went ballistic when Jacob hit the 3.

I'm sure Billy and the staff let them know how much they are appreciated. Just from the team's reactions, you can tell that Jacob is well liked and respected among his peers.
