Rob or Rex...
which Ryan brother is a bigger $chmuck?
"I inherited a team that was 31st in the league in defense and made them better," Ryan told ESPNDallas.com's Tim MacMahon. "I (expletive) made them a hell of a lot better. I'll be out of work for like five minutes."
He might be right, but how about showing some humility...

I dont blame him for being pissed. D wasnt the issue on that team. Romo throwing it to the other team's D was.

If Jerry Jones and staff thinks that the defense was their main problem, they have no idea about football. If Romo is not unemployed next season, they will continue to suck.

Would have loved to be in that meeting between Jones and Ryan.

As long as Jones is the defacto GM of this team, they will never sniff post season success.
That is all.

They don't. This is evident. And Romo SHOULD be packing his bags along with Garrett (who never deserved the job - but serves as a great puppet for Jones). I can barely stand the team now and I'm a fan

Ohh screw him - I wish at least by this statement he made that some teams will look elsewhere for a coach.
Appalled ....

He more than deserved to lose his job. In 8 losses the Cowboys D gave up an avg. of EXACTLY 30 pts. a game. Thats terrible. Time to go brother Rob.

There was no meeting, they fired him over the phone while he was on vacation.

Rex's brother is an ass-hat just like Rex. Might know his game, but I remember him spewing vitriol on Tebow when he was at Denver. He said something to the effect that "his college offense at Denver was an insult to pro ball" ...fk him and his fat arse. Fk Rex too...not that I have an opinion.

Why is that anyone should give either of these SUPERSTAR'S COACHES value, when they can not get in the playoffs every year. Maybe they are just LIVING LEGENDS in just their own minds, instead of the entire world minds.

Wrong question. It should be "Who is the bigger idiot, Jerry Jones or Woody Johnson?" Both Ryans are good D Coordinators but Rex is one step over his pay grade right now. The bravado and the "me first" personality on the Jets is all on him. Woody needs to stop worrying about saving a couple of bucks on contracts and get on with firing his ass. Jones can't accept that Romo is a great fantasy football player and ESPN highlight but sucks as a franchise QB.
I give a slight nod to Jerry because of the number of years of experience. And I am sure that Jimmy Johnson is eating it all up.

They can always be football analysts for Nick Saban.

Rob Ryan is a joke.
In his 9 years as a defensive coordinator, none of Rob Ryan's teams have ever had a winning record. He's also never coordinated a top-10 defense. Ever.
People see him with long hair, sloppy dress, and yelling on the sidelines and think, "Wow! He's a great defensive coordinator!" and it's further perpetuated by the incessant stroking the media gives him. If his last name wasn't Ryan he wouldn't get near the attention or job opportunities that he does.
Rob Ryan DC pts against rankings
Oakland
2004 - 31
2005 - 25
2006 - 18
2007 - 26
2008 - 24
Cleveland
2009 - 21
2010 - 13
Dallas
2011 - 16
2012 - 24
What's funny is in the 2012 offseason Dallas signs Brandon Carr - the best available free agent CB - and uses their first 4 draft picks on defense including #1 CB Morris Claiborne at #6 overall - and their defense got WORSE!

Wonder if Rob has a tattoo of Rex's wife wearing a Romo jersey...

The J speaks on Robby's axin.
http://espn.go.com/dallas/nfl/story/...lease-rob-ryan
I really didnt follow the Girls enough to say whether he did a good job or not. But he picks out the game Romo throws FIVE picks to validate the defensive coordinators firing. LOL!!!! And now they are chasing Monte Kiffin to replace him!!!

While they've both been there as position coaches, neither Ryan brother has ever been in a Super Bowl at the head coach or coordinator level.
