Exactly. Meyer was saying that as politely as he could. It was clear that he was saying that Alabama was so much better than ND that even if he was ND's coach there would be nothing he could say to overcome the difference between the two teams.

+1 Some go WAY out of their way to find an opportunity to bash one of the greatest Gator coaches of all time. Criticize him for the way he left - fine. But that's OLD news. Criticize him for an honest response to an impossible question at the BCS title game and it's nothing but tire, whiny, sniping.
Urban had the prime oppurtunity to get some coach-speak in at the half when asked what ND had to get back in it. First response was "I don't know". Make up something that sounds reasonable is betther that IDK! He later came back with more, but first response was a major recruiting fumble.
Number 1 there wasn't' anything that could be done, and two even if there were given his hopes to be playing for a national championship perhaps against bama, he surely wasn't going to tell.
