Terrible case of the injury bug this year, on really weird things too. Hope he is not out too long

At first I thought the headline read "Murphy to sit out with Braised Ribs" and I'm thinking "Can't he save them for after the game?"
That is a shame though. I road tripped from Chicago to Indianapolis back in 92 when UF played Purdue in an NIT game, and half the town of Kokomo was there to cheer on Brian Hogan. Brian came off the bench to have the best game of his career leading the Gators with 18 points in the win.

Hydro-Cody Larson would know how to get Murphy in condition to play. He wouldn't feel a thing. Probably a good thing they don't hang out together any more.

I hate that for Murph and the bus loads of friends and family that came to see him play. It sucks since he is the reason this game is even scheduled. Hopefully we can get him back for the start of SEC play.

Very bummed about this. I was looking forward to shouting out some big time Gator cheers for him last night.

Damn, sounds like Murphy won't be in the game against UGA this Wednesday either based on a comment in the Gatorsports.com article today about UF's new AP ranking. It seemed like the Gator offense was a bit stagnant against Yale until UF forced them into a lot of turnovers to start the second half and of course then Boynton got on fire from the arc and helped maintain the large lead. Hopefully UF can pressure UGA enough to get some easy baskets because if Boynton goes cold I'm not sure how well the rest of the team can do to provide the necessary points. Rossario is a bit streaky and Yeguete and Prather aren't exactly scoring dynamos though of course the other aspects (rebounding, defense, ect) of their game are invaluable to the team. Young can get points but he doesn't seem to get as many touches as you'd think he should (part his fault for not getting position and part the fault of Wilbekin/Boynton not getting it to him, I suppose). Anyway, I guess UGA shouldn't pose too much of challenge and this game is in Gainesville but I'll feel a lot better when Murphy can play again (hopefully against LSU this Saturday).

Hopefully Boynton and others will continue to fill in the points that they'll miss with Murphy's absence. It's true that the team is more "athletic" with Murphy out and so their press is a bit more effective which hopefully results in more forced turnovers and easier points to help offset things. Anyway, better to get this sort of injury now than later in the season :-)

Sounds like it's all a pain tolerance thing of when he'll be back, hopefully he's more like Billy's daughter than Rosario

Get well Eric, you are our only 6' 10 guy, our go to guy. Here's hoping it won't keep you from having a super year.
