Gators 3 seed in latest Bracketology
http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/bracketology
I know the chances of this atcually being right is super slim, but I still like to look at them. In my opinion this would be a very tough bracket for the Gators to make the final four, with possible games against VCU, Cuse and Michigan.

Yes! Now I can sleep at night. I can't wait to do my mock bracket and see if we win it all. When are people going to learn lunardi is terrible at his job.

Eh, I never mind seeing Lunardi update these throughout the year. Its just a snapshot of where he sees things standing right now.
This edition also serves as evidence that tourney seed isn't always all that important. Kentucky is a 7 and Florida a 3. So, UF must have a much easier FF path, right? Nope. I'd much rather face the Zags and Zona than Michigan and Cuse.

I still get a kick out of bracketology being done immediately after the NCAA tourney final for the following season.
It's just ludicrous.
BTW, I don't believe for a minute that UK will be a 7 seed when all is said and done.

a 3 seed, suggests a ranking between 9-12.
Right where we are now and hope we can still be there when Murphy returns

surveying pomeroy and sagarin, the seeds for both UF and especially UK are off; both metrics would indicate we'd be a 2 seed at worst and UK would be a 3 or 4 seed, 5 at worst right now.

And in cbs' latest update, Gators are also a 3 seed. http://www.cbssports.com/collegebasketball/bracketology
Couple quick notes:
1. I rather have Palm's bracket than Lunardi's.
2.I wonder what Kentucky fans would think of their seed.
3.Minnesota a two seed? Big props to Tubby

2. Its hard to be offended by it after last nights game. I honestly can't blame anyone for having UK seeded poorly right now. UK has two wins against top 215 RPI teams this year. People who think they'll improve greatly are banking on freshmen reaching potential that they haven't sniffed or are blindly assuming that Cal has a magic wand when it comes to this stuff. I've stated that I can't see UK missing the tounament. I'm not willing to make a bolder prediction than that right now. This year will either prove to be Cal's best coaching job at UK yet or will show that no team is immune to losing their top 6 scorers and that the "reloading" concept is overblown.

Tubby has a very good and dangerous team this year. I'd put them as a low 2 or high 3 seed right now.
The Gators are underseeded at 3. They won it all in 2006 as a 3. Deja vu all over again?

Although Kentucky played poorly last night they still notched a win. Against Louisville they made a good showing even if it was a loss. I am still of the opinion they will have a good season when it is all done. Maybe not a great one but one good enough to get a decent bid and by then they should have come together better as a team.
