Agree. My first thought was that we should be ahead of SC since we beat them. But then I saw Louisville was still behind us and decided 9th seemed about right.
Muschamp's 2nd year brings us a top 10 finish. Not bad at all.

Always sad seeing teams we beat ahead of us, but yeah there isn't much to say.

Would have been pretty sweet ending the year at #2.

Coaches poll we were 10th behind #8 FSU and #9 Clemson. Not sure I agree with that but oh well.

That's the affect the current bowl system has. When FSU, Clemson and UF played, they were the only games on TV. When we beat FSU, it was part of a college football Saturday with tons of games. Take a thorough beating to Louisville with everybody watching, and you run the risk of your perception nationally. Defeat NIU and LSU with everybody watching and the national perception goes up. Luckily the AP folks got it right.

This is the result. I don't like it but is what it is..... Next time we need to show up mentally to all of our bowl games regardless of the contender.

Coaches haven't liked us all year (haven't bothered with AP so I don't know about it). I think that's too big a drop for losing a bowl game by 10 points. And FSU moves up two spots for beating NIU (or were they higher than 12 with the coaches)? LOL

Coaches voting is a joke (partly because most of them don't really do the ballots). I know Jimbo says he takes two hours with his but that's Jimbo, most people can read a ballot faster than that.

The whole polling system is a complete joke. Does anyone now think ND really deserved to be the #1 team in the nation?

We didnt just beat usc east we whooped em'. They need to be behind us. A&M have come on strong of late that seems correct.

Gators 4-2 vs top 15 teams. That's a heck of a schedule. 7-0 in other games. I expected a 9-4 year so I'm not complaining at all.

Hard to fault a Top 10 finish with the low expectations at the start.

But any poll that ranks the girls' school ahead of us is a crock!

Coaches poll has always seemed dumb to me. Coaches almost NEVER get to see other teams play all season. Then they are given great credit to pick the best teams.
