In the first half, Louisville scored on every possession. Why wouldn't we be willing to risk 30 yards on a potentially game changing onside kick? That's two Bridgewater completions.

That part was hard to take, but I'm getting over as I type.

I think Muschamp was talking about the team that went up to Tallahassee determined to beat f$u, not the team that showed up in the Big Easy to collect their trophy for entertaining an unworthy Louisville.
Those two teams are light years different from one another.

This is why Saban was so angry at the press after a blowout win against a nobody team, didn't want to look complacent, and the one of the reasons why Meyer loved Tim Tebow so much - the intensity he brought for every game.....especially after the loss to Ole Miss was contagious. In house cheerleaders make a football team better. Believe it.

We don't agree much but this is spot on! This team wasn't suppose to be a Championship contender this year. What Muschamp and company did was stellar. Don't let one game cloud your judgement or shrew the facts!

Amazing how one game turned WM from genius to idiot.

It's about time for our Gator idiots to show up and try to run Muschamp off like they did Spurrier and Meyer.

Spurrier and Meyer won titles, beat rivals etc, the jury's still out on Muschamp (Ron Zook took Illinois to a Rose Bowl, didn't make him a great coach).

Obviously he couldn't have known that. But I think it was a bad call even without the personal fouls. I think that because he was trying to gain momentum and excitement for the team with the kick. But that could have been accomplished about as well with a 3-and-out stop by the defense. And letting the defense do it wouldn't have presented the risks that the on-sides kick did (i.e. poor field position and even more momentum for Louisville).
I'm not one who's blaming WM for this game. For whatever reason - overconfidence, thinking about the NFL, too much time between games, partying in NO, you name it - I think the players just didn't have the focus and intensity for this game that they had for most games this season. Plus I think Louisville is just a much better team than their many close wins against mediocre teams would indicate. But I do think the on-sides kick was the one bad decision that can clearly be pinned on WM.
