Heisman House
I don't imagine we will ever see Tim Tebow in a Heisman House commercial. Too polarizing . RGIII was already in one of them. Would be nice to see Tebow utilize some comedic chops, but I couldn't see some Don Draper on Madison avenue sticking his neck out to incorporate Tebow in this campaign. A shame. He could be another Peyton Manning in commercials...

These commercials are what, two weeks old? And we're pulling the Tebow AND race cards?

I think it's deeper than that. When the suits in the glass towers pitched this campaign, Tebow was a non-starter...a no go..
--Tebow
--Weinke (nobody knows who the hell he is)
--Toretta (see Weinke)
--OJ Simpson

These commercials have been on all season. Where have you been? And every time somebody brings up race, it isn't some horrible catastrophe. It's just a pattern I noticed. It is what it is

I never noticed them until bowl season, so pardon me if I'm off on that. This, however, is an extreme case of Tebow neglect butt-hurtitis. The race "pattern" take is just not a good place to go. Maybe Desmond, Eddie George, and Tim Brown just look better on camera than Danny, Weinke, and Crouch.

Keep in mind too that the decision making process for the ad agency will be driven mostly by who is most recognizable while not being too expensive to sign.

I don't care about Tebow not being in the commerical. I was just explaining that Tebow likely wouldn't be in the commercial because they go with black Heisman winners usually. That's about it.

I said they don't use many white guys; not that they didn't use them at all

You are telling me they'll use Leinart, Matt Leinart, in a commercial and not Tebow?? You almost have to go out of your way....way out of your way, to not invite Tebow to do this commercial. And I would guess he wasn't asked

I went on Youtube and watched a few and these are really great commercials. There are, however, several white players to appear: Matt Leinart, Doug Flutie, Vinny Testaverde, Desmond Howard, to name a few.

I've only seen the one they always replay with RGIII. It's really not a big deal, I just thought it was interesting.

LOL! Anyway, I think (and this may be incorrect), that there's been more black heisman winners than white. That may be an easy way to explain the disparity in numbers. They pick some of the most recognizable guys and they just happen not to be white. I don't think it's really a race thing.

Love these commercials! Can't even see why race is an issue.
Still looks like Herschel could strap 'em on. Love Dane's Marcus Allen obsession and Howard's media self-deprication.
The prior year versions were also funny.
