I think Kent Taylor will beat out Clay. Gorman and one of Ledbetter/Maye as our safeties (maybe Watkins?). Roberson is our #1 CB (I think). Also think Mornhinweg will be the #1 backup QB. It's all just my opinion though

Don't we have another new JUCO guy to go on the DT list? Looks like we need one. Shouldn't Easley be under there as well instead of DE? Depth a little scary there.

I believe that Easley will play quite a bit inside this year as he has done it before, you may also see one of other ends move inside on obvious passing downs. A pass rush of Powell, Easley, Fowler and Bullard could be scary. I agree that our depth at DT seems a little thin that is why getting Adams would be huge to have come in with Brantley and hopefully we can hold on to Valentine for 2014

Taylor at #1 TE
Dunker at #1 OG (I know Halapio's been a lifer there, just don't see how he hangs onto that spot)
Easly at DT. WAY too much talent at DE with Fowler, Powell, and Bullard. That being said, these guys will move all around is my guess.

See Easley, Williams, Ivie, Riles and Cummings at DT.. Linebackers look a little thin especially in middle

Unless he is injured, there is no way Halapio does not start. My thinking is that he knows the offense and the line calls better than anyone else and that goes a long way with the coaches. I think he played better this year than he did previously but he still gets beat more than a 3 year starter should.
I feel like Taylor has to prove himself before we give him the starting TE role. He has not shown to be as good a blocker as Burton and he dropped a few balls this year. I do think he will be on the field ahead of Burton on obvious passing downs but since I suspect we will always be a run first team under WM, I think Burton gets the first shot at TE

Ya, dude's good. He could pass Clay but I need to see him stay healthy first.

VHIII is a CB and a future top 10 NFL Draft pick at the position.
I could see Purifoy there(at safety), especially since he may be getting looks on offense as well but we'll have to see what happens during Spring practice. Since landing DRob, I really don't think Purifoy switches to offense.

I really hope they try Purifoy at Safety (if he doesn't go to the other side of the ball). He was probably the 4th best cover guy on the team this year (behind Roberson, Elam, and Watkins), and if Poole and Hargreaves live up to their billing, that puts CB as a deep position for us.
Given Purifoy's love of hitting, and knack for making big plays, he seems like a natural fit at Safety, and would give that position a bit more experience (not at the position, but at being used to the speed of the game in the SEC).

I know that teams do not seem to rotate DB's like they do with DL but we might have 10 guys that could contribute. At the very least Dan Quinn should be smiling with all the options he will have next year.

Didn't Gorman look really good in the spring game last year? If so I really hope he can provide for us big time this year.

Good thread here.
I'm hearing Williams may play inside, if he continues to put on the weight.
There's going to be some good battles for the OL spots (finally!). WR competition should be good as well.
