I do not have anything against the guy. I was much the same way when I was his age, minus the notoriety and athleticism.

Just kidding Jag, and you know that. YOU are our worshipped one when it comes to pics. The rest of us here---we are simply not worthy.

If that were Jeff Driskel in the pic, after a heisman winning season, you wouldn't bash him.

If that was JD, I would be very concerned. Knowing if he took money from the wrong person, the whole team would be affected.

Same here. Whether the money is from a legit source or not, it looks bad for a college kid on scholly with limited resources to be flashing wads of cash.

Out of how many short quarterbacks who graduated from college? (and you left out Doug Flutie and David Garrard as successful short quarterbacks)
Joe Hamilton, Tim Rattay, Major Applewhite, Brooks Bollinger, Brad Banks, Chris Leak, Brock Berlin, DJ Shockley, Troy Smith, and Todd Reesing, all good college players who didn't really get a chance in the NFL. (and those are just the ones that I can think of over the last ten or so years, I'm sure there were other short quarterbacks that I've left off)

None of those guys (minus Troy Smith, who did play QB in the NFL) had nearly a season that JF had. He is a breed apart. He has Russell Wilson skill set. The guy is amazing. He is better than that entire list of guys you mentioned who didn't make it.

Truth. Manziel is very impressive. I'm not sure he has Wilson's head for the game (and work habits), but that's a good comparison. He'll play in the NFL.

Remember talking to Aggie fan in College Station in Sept, and him saying the kid would be a heck of a Quarterback if they can keep him out of jail, now I know what he meant

I agree. I hope that he is successful in the NFL, he is fun to watch. But NFL scouts have pretty consistently shown a bias towards tall quarterbacks.

Geez, how many people bashed Rex when he was flashing the Rolex presidential bought by his Orthodontist dad? Manziel's family are ranchers with a lot of oil connections in the Eagle Forge area. They have a magnificent ranch in Kerrville.
And I wouldn't be bashing Texas A&M's history of dirty dealings in the 1980s. If memory serves, so did we.
Not sure why you have all the hate. Sounds like a Tebow defense mechanism going on...

I think Sumlin has more to do with manziel's success than Johnny himself. Next year will be very telling on how good this kid really is. Good luck to him, seems like a good kid.

My kids are homeschooled. I'll put their test scores up against anybody...My wife's 10 years in the education system as a teacher and then a teaching consultant opened our eyes....
