This past season
After the Sugar Bowl I was neither shocked nor really surprised. Before the season started I felt we would be much better than the previous year and our record would show it. I also thought our schedule should work to our benefit and it did. But I was very happily surprised that at the end of the regular season that we were 11-1. All in all we
played well enough to win against everyone except Georgia. Going into that game I believed that the Dawgs had deeper and in some cases better talent. Everyone here thought I was nuts in being concerned about them prior to the game. Georgia's last few
recruiting classes were chocked full of excellent players. Even with all that the Gators
almost won the game. With the SEC decided, I was convinced we were lucky to win
a few of our games. Going into the Sugar Bowl I was very worried about Louisville. Being from Coral Gables I followed how hard the Canes recruited him. I knew he was special and
watched Louisville when I could. I also was impressed with their receiving corps playmaking ability. I was specifically thought that Charlie Strong knew more about us and how to defend against us than any other coach. We lost. However I believe we will be
very good again next year and I'm proud to be a Gator.
