Anyone Going to Yale? We are!
Hey Gator Lovers -
We're going to Yale to see the game! So psyched! Anyone know where the team stays in which hotel? Last year we met Billy and a few players in Kentucky on that road trip.
GO GATORS!
Let's rock the smarties up at Yale!

I will be there, and I know that the Gator clubs from both Boston and NYC are bringing a bunch of fans.
Budget 45 minutes or so to walk around campus before the game and take in the sights. You can get a pre-game slice at Wall St. Pizza or Yorkside Pizza or grab a brew at Rudy's.

All Gator fans should save a few cheers for Erik Murphy during his homecoming game.

Wish I could go. Got family right by campus. Love walking around there, the library is awesome, the antiquities library even better. Got a tour of the cemetery last time I was there. That was fascinating. Used to go to the Peabody Museum every summer when I was young. Saw Led Zeppelin at the Yale Bowl in 1970. Great memories of that town and campus. And of course, I love the Gators.

I grew up in Greenwich Conn. Yale is awesome; beautiful. First choice in schools. Unfortunately I would have never of been admitted. Lucky I got in Fla! Saw Zep at Pirates World 1969!

Stop by Sally's Pizza -- or Pepe's (or Modern if both are packed)
Love the pizza in New Haven!

Pepe's clam pie is worth the wait. Blue Highway's vongole pie is good, but not that good.
And one of my nieces goes to Yale.

Actually, the people at Yale are no smarter than the people in Tennessee (at Vandy, UT, Memphis or even Middle Tennessee State), it is merely well designed propaganda that makes people think they are somehow smarter.
Admittedly, the ones that smoke weed are quite obviously smarter than the ones that don't, but that is not something our national propaganda mills want to hear either.
Hopefully the Gators will play well, and the Yalies will acquit themselves with dignity and a quality game.

Erik Murphy is out. I guess bruised ribs? That sucks on his homecoming.

Then people at UF are probably much smarter than people at Yale. My lungs are still raw 30 years later.

Even though the gym was tiny, it still looked like a nice turnout of Gator fans. Looked like 1000+ Gator fans easily - maybe even more than that in a 2500 seat gym. Not bad at all. Great job all the northeast Gator clubs.
I really like watching us play games like that. I know the scheduling of the game was more to do with Murphy's "homecoming", but it would be pretty cool to see us take on mid-majors on the road more often. Even if it's not "cost effective" to play mid-majors on the road, it would be great for college basketball if that happened more routinely (not just UF, but in general).

It would be fun to see Florida at least take on more of the IVY league schools like Harvard & Princeton for a home & away series!
