Vernon Macklin doing ok for vipers.
Terrence Jones from UK is also on the vipers.
Mack has 8 pts and 6 boards at halftime.

I was surprised by this, also. I thought he would be on an NBA roster this year.

Jones had a good game and finished with 20 points. Clearly the best player on the floor.
On a tupac grading he gets a 7.

Mack finished with 11 points and I think over 10 boards.
He gets a grade of 5. Looked like he got tired as the game went. Plus he missed a few put backs and post UPS.
he was a cool dude though, after halftime my friend heckled him a little bit and he saw me gator chomping, he came over and shook my hand. ( I had floor seats near the player entrance)

Jones was the best player in the floor.

Jones landed on a team that is loaded at his position and is a bit of a tweener IMO. Not sure staying would have helped him much. Think he will take some time to adjust.

Definitely. He is only down there to get playing time. He was a first round pick and is getting his two years guaranteed money and unless he regresses he'll get a third and probably fourth year from his rookie contract then see where it goes from there, hard to argue with leaving.

Hes probably eventual trade bait for the rockets which would be good for him to go somewhere he'll have a chance to play

Great post. I don't follow the NBA at all but during the draft I saw that Houston had plenty of forwards but I figured they knew what they were doing lol

The D-league used to be seperate league where all the retreads went. Now the NBA is legitimately trying to used it as a farm type system.

according to the roster sheet, only 3 players from both teams were under contract to an NBA team.
