No brainer, IMO.
I think some college football fans feel like they got dumped when a player declares as a Jr.

You actually seem like the one being dumped right now.

No one has begrudged them leaving, just offering opinions on their readiness and draft prospects. Whining would be saying somehow they are letting down the Gators by leaving early. No one has said that.
I'm sad to see them leave but I have no problem with a kid going after the money. If they get signed they'll make more next year than I will with my UF chemical engineering degree. A boatload more. And they can still complete their degrees if they want.
Each one has been exciting to watch, made great contributions, and I wish them all the best. Each one could have played somewhere else but chose to wear orange and blue. Thanks for everything.

Maybe not "begrudging" but I think every flaw the kid may have has been pointed out and a few to the extent of making jokes about it.
I don't blame any of them for pursuing the opportunity to get paid a league minimum of $375k (or whatever it is these days). I'm pretty sure that whoever is completing their paperwork & projecting their draft potential knows a little bit more than we do as far as evaluating pro prospects. I guess only time will tell whether it was a wise decision or not, but why not just say congrats and move on. It's not like Reed is giving us the finger as he leaves UF.

The kid literally jumped at every catchable ball thrown to him...how is that a joke if it's true?

As an example, I suppose this wasn't meant as a joke:

I didn't say he didn't have areas of improvements, I stated that some things that were pointed out were made into jokes. Obviously it is one's right to do so, but I just don't get the reasoning behind it.

No doubt, same crap every year..."He's not ready", "he's making a mistake", "he should stay", "He'll be a 6th rounder at best, maybe a FA". "Who's advising him??", "I" know more than who's advising him, "I know more than scouts","he didn't even ask my opinion" "he must be desperate to get paid, but he'd make so much more if he stayed"....and of course, "MY BUTT HURTS".

Without these 3 guys we're 8-4 at best, not 11-1.
Good greif, what do these kids owe you fans?
Just be thankful they busted their asses for your enjoyment and (all 3) get to make great money in the NFL next yr.
|
They busted their asses for our enjoyment? I didn't know that. I thought they were busting their asses so they could attend college for free, develop as football players, and do exactly what they're doing - play in the NFL.

Really? You don't think our enjoyment plays a factor? Have you been to a game at the Swamp?

You want him to stay at UF and rot in his senior year? The kid is ready for the NFL.

How would he rot at UF as the main offensive target hhis senior year? Did Gilly rot this year? You post some of the dumbest sh*t sometime. You want all of our playmakers to leave, yet in the recruiting forum you don't want any playmakers to come here. Makes no damn sense if you are a real fan of a team and genuinely want them to do well.

We don't throw it all that much, he was our main playmaker outside of Gilly this season not sure what one more year snagging off-target bullets from our "QB" is going to do for him.

So we don't throw it Jordan Reed now? Man, wtf is going here. This is why I wished we would have won that Louisville game so damn bad. I don't care if we would have won it 3-0. I knew after that loss iit was gonna be a looooonnnnnggggg offseason.

The second leading pass catching tightend in the SEC, just 3 yards behind Tennessee's Rivera in that pass happy offense. Yeah, we don't utilize the tightend.

It's his choice to leave. Thanks for your time as a Gator - wish we couldve worked him into more plays.
He has crazy talent and some team will take him and I hope he is coached well and makes a great NFL player wherever he goes.
