Amazing that you can "tell that I'm young" from a message board. I have three children and a little brother that currently plays at UF. I'm not that young, but thanks.

My point was so many opinions are drawn from what is seen on the tv screen. My brother has no reason to lie to me. He makes no excuses for their loss. Maybe I should have said I heard it at Shands or at dinner at Nick Satan's...

I can't defend Juice's attempted punch, but that isn't what the topic was about...

First time I saw this thread and couldn't agree more. It is o.k. to show some emotion, but don't get too animated when you just crushed the other team's running back or receiving... ...after yet another 9 yard gain on first down with you down by 20 points.

Maybe you should have to force at least one punt first before you can showboat?

Gonna let you carry the banner for a while. I've stated my point on this until I was blue in the face. Football is the greatest team sport ever created. The team was getting buried. No need to celebrate like you just won the Super Bowl after each time you make a tackle when you can't get an offense off the field.

There has to be balance. My son and I have often complained about celebration penalties after a TD, when it's just guys happy with a great play. But the other extreme of XFL behavior -- strutting around after a sack or big hit -- to me is a distraction.

It's just my opinion, but I make a distinction between shows of emotion that are part of the flow of the game and contribute to team camaraderie vs shows that all about the player.
