CBS has him as the third best TE available and projected to go in round 2-3.

I wonder how many SEC coaches pitched in money to buy that opinion. Must be a down year for the TE.

Reed will go as high as the 2nd and as low as the 4 round Senior TE class is not very good the junior class is a little better

Dude. 1 catch for 7 yards and dropping a touch down in the sugar bowl isn't dominating?

I do think Reed has the tools to be a great one, but I'd be shocked if he gets picked in the second or even third round. However, NE might change that because they love the TE position, and they might be the only team that can justify this high of a pick on him because they're stacked at TE, yet want more/upgrades, and they're going to kill it in the FA market.....as usual.

I loved watching Reed and wish him the best at the next level.
That said, I think we're set up much better to replace him than Elam or Floyd. Kent Taylor doesn't have Reed's athleticism, but all he needs is weight to be a very special tight end here.

I do believe Reed in the same system for another year would have meant more $$$ in 2014

Sry, I can't get on board with this one. Kid has all the tools, but never made the plays...I will personally be shocked if he has half the NFL career of Hernandez.

^ meh, you've been wrong before, phenom.
I love how Elam, Floyd, and Reed get bashed the last 2 days. Leaving too early, celebrating plays over the top.
Without these 3 guys we're 8-4 at best, not 11-1.
Good greif, what do these kids owe you fans?
Just be thankful they busted their asses for your enjoyment and (all 3) get to make great money in the NFL next yr.

Definitely a head scratcher. Good luck to him though!

I think Reed has a unique skill set I would rather draft him than a WR in the 3 rd round

headscratcher?
He's a 2nd-3rd round pick. Maybe he wants money. Maybe he hates class. There will be dozens of kids declaring early who wont be drafted in the top six rounds - he aint one of them.
Many posters here would have left college with a yr to go for a milion bucks, even if they "may" have improved that to 2 million, eventhough ZERO was a possibility.
No brainer, IMO.
I think some college football fans feel like they got dumped when a player declares as a Jr.

Good luck Jordan Reed.
I don't think they are going to be crazy over his blocking skill and consistent jump-catching at the combine imo.

Still say he was our best quarterback. He just did not have enough touches, will be like David Nelson in the NFL although he does need to hit the weights this summer

He had the most talent for the QB position on the team for a few years

Didn't Trey Burton have to tell him what the reads were though?
