Which season was the fluke?
The 7 win or the 11 win?

Now THAT is a very good question. All we need is one more data point and we can figure it out.

I don't want to do that. I have too much love for this University and these players and for what we've built." - Urban Liar

obviously neither considering we're predestined to match Saban's record at Bama

I hate singing "We are the Boys" considering who some of the "we" is comprised of.

This year was not a fluke. We found out how to win. Louisville played nearly a perfect game and was ready. Kind of reminded me of our win over USC. USC turned the ball over early and often, and couldn't get momentum, and then had no chance. Bridgwater made some amazing throws and receivers some amazing catches. The refs helped them out nicely, and they beat our a$$e$. However you don't win 11 games with our schedule and consider it a fluke.

UF won't have many teams as bad as the previous two years teams in any given 30 year period. Those years were anomalies, flukes, outliers, whatever you want to say.
But, then again Bowling Green, ULL and the UL games certainly leave the issue open for some debate. I think UF will win 12 or more games next year because you beat TXAM, Tenn, So Car, LSU and FSU and that can't be luck.
You guys just over looked Louisville and they got all the breaks and made you pay.

Both, we got both ends of the bell curve of turnover distribution, some of which is notoriously fluky and varies wildly from year to year. Play wise we're probably an 8 or 9 win team last year and a 9 or 10 win team this season (just add up the breaks this year in your head that went for us and last year that went against us- things like dropped picks or fumbles that bounced for/against us- random stuff).

LSU in BR, Ga in Jax, SC in SC, Clowney's last yr, we have some real battles we will have to win to get back to 11- 1 like this year. Boom and beating Georgia hasn't been written in the books yet. Three years in a row, I don't know about all ya'll, but that would be big trouble with the Gator fanbase.

Last year was an aberration because of who we beat this year. However, losing the way we did toL'ville is cause for concern. If the coaches had stuck to our season game plan we proably would have won the bowl game but when you throw to begin the game, play zone defense and then panic by calling onside kicks you show panic to your players, fans and most importantly to your players. We were doomed before the game started and gave L'ville a winning attitude which we never shouldhave allowed .

Too little data to make a judgement at this point.
If Muschamp continues either successfully or unsuccessfully next year, then we would have, as Moose noted, enough information to make an educated guess. If, however, it is say around an 8-5 or 9-4 season, we will still lack adequate data to make an informed judgement.

We had a wicked schedule in 2011, and some games were close.
Our schedule was more favorable this year.
1)TAMU in their 1st game
2) LSU at home after a bye.
3) USCe the week after they played UGA/ LSU back-to-back.
4) 2 non SEC games before FSU.
That said- outside of a trip to Red Stick our schedule is pretty good next year too.
To me we were better than our record showed in 2011, and perhaps not quite as good as our record showed in 2012.

On the plus side: we ran better with Gillislee, were more physical defensively and found a way to win a games we would have likely lost with last year's team.
On the other hand: we had the luxury of not having to play Bama, catching TAMU early, playing an LSU team captained by a goofball QB (this according to Gator fans) and enjoyed a 'perfect storm' game vs. South Carolina.
On the balance: 11-2 is certainly loads better than 7-6. Although we finished with a flourish last year, and a thud this year.

Neither. We got what we deserved both years.

Neither was a fluke. Muschamp took over a broken team and was learning how to be a head coach. He's still learning but he's doing so very quickly.
