Off topic slightly, but to think a 215 lb rb couldn't whip a dl's ass is nonsense. Fighting has very little to do with size. I've seen plenty of small guys whip big guys in a fight.

I don't know what it means or if it's true, but I heard the same thing this morning. If it is...it can mean one of two things (or both)....
1.) Kelvin is more of a beast than I thought (which I like)
2.) We should be a little worried about a 300+ lineman getting beat up by a guy 90 lbs lighter! Doesn't bode well for him.
Until we get more details on when or how this happened it's hard to draw any conclusions.
I personally have a feeling Taylor is sick and tired of all the flip-flopping and probably gave him a piece of his mind. That with the rumors that during the group picture (of all the Gator commits) Brantley was yelling "Roll Tide" can make you do some crazy things. Now that he's being tight-lipped and giving the ol' "no comment" to any questions we may never know the truth - especially if he ends up at UF. Either way, DT is a big need IMO and whether he's a headcase or not, we could really use CB.

Third conclusion is that CB has A LOT of growing up to do, or he won't last a semester. No matter where he goes.

Maybe CB didn't think it could happen either - until it did.

Agree, it's foolish to think a little guy can't beat up a big guy. Now obviously, all things being equal, including fighting ability, the bigger guy has the advantage, but as well all know in life, smaller fish are the most scrappiest. Do I think this happened? Who knows? Taylor seems like a really good kid so regardless of where Brantley goes, Taylor probably had good reason to give him a beating.

To be fair...Kelvin isn't exactly a "little guy" himself..

You often miscalculate. There was video posted of KT punking a guy bigger bigger guy in drills with ease. If Kelvin got the jump on CB would not surprise me at all.

RAZ, I gotta a question about Brantley...
You seem pretty connected into UF recruiting (a lot like I used to be about 10 years ago), but I keep hearing from one guy (a former Gator player who hears stuff), that after Cummings got to UF, Brantley began to feel threatened by the coaches still going after other DT recruits.
What have you heard about this?

I am not an insider. Brantley has said he does not want to sit on the bench his freshmen year but there is still playing time to be had even with cumming coming in (I have some reservations of him actually playing a lot for many reasons). I really do think things will straighten out once Caleb goes home. He has said a few times he wants to check out other school because he really hasn't been anywhere. But it usually gets fixed after talking to his family and Bryant Young.
[EDIT]
but he also said "sometimes you need to be selfish" I have no clue what that means.
I think the teams he has talked to are Bama LSU and Oklahoma. Oklahoma really needs DT's they are very desperate. I just have a hard time seeing a kid from Crescent City going all the way to Oklahoma.

Gator Avatar,
If your concepts about fighting were correct guys like Ali and Holifield would have never been champions.

That's what Dockett thought before Greg Jones tore him up...

1) If Brantley needs a promise that he will be the starter, then he needs to go somewhere else.
2) Both starting DTs are gone. That should be enough for someone to feel they can compete, especially when we prove we play 4 DTs regularly.
3) Please don't anyone think that a 200lb person can't beat down a 300lb person.

I don't see how any DL prospect can't watch a few of our games and determine there is ample playing time at DT and DE with as many as we play in any given game.
If you question your ability to beat out some folks for playing time, perhaps UF isn't the place for you. If you think a HBC of a D1 school is going to promise a true freshman a starting job and keep his word without you earning hte spot, you will learn a very painful lesson. No coach will risk his job and the team's wins if you don't perform.
