My original post simply stated we lose in them and they bring back bad memories, so I don't want to see them again.

I think some folks may be missing the point of why we should steer clear of the color combination worn in the Sugar bowl.

It is not about whether or not the unis had any bearing on the game.

It is, quite simple...

That combination was hideous and should never be used again. We looked like Syracuse or Illinois but in royal blue.

To each their own when it comes to jersey colors, but go tell---the Great Wall in 84.....Kerwin Bell....Ricky Nattiel....John L. Brown....Neal Anderson....Emmitt.....etc, all those guys that orange jerseys don't look right. While those guys would have played just as well in blue jerseys, those orange jerseys sure "looked right" during that period of Gator football.

That combination has been nothing but bad luck for us. It looks like a Meac uni and we have plenty of orange and blue combinations that don't make us look as ugly as that set does.

As silly as it sounds, I felt the same way both times too.

I wonder if there is something to this, though. For instance, is doing something "different" create a psycological effect - positive or negative. I've always felt that you want to be consitent, don't want to treat any team - higher or lower ranked - any different than any other. And, to do so (with special uniforms) creates an effect. Curious if anyone else has thoughts or even facts on this topic.

That's the problem. The new Orange looks wrong. THAT Orange was sweet (not as bright) and was made even sweeter with the 80s mesh and half-shirts. Throw in the porn stashes (Kerwin) that a lot of players wore back then and it was just triple-sweet in a "Dazed and Confused" kinda way.

Uniforms were awful...just don't like the orange pants....period...
They just don't look like the gators....i want to feel good about how the
team looks...and that combo is awful..........

I didn't think it looked THAT bad. Could have used some more white accent. But I really don't care much what uniforms look like. I think correlating losses with uniforms is completely stupid.
