At least Johnson could've landed the punch, I'm pretty sure he ended up connecting with a teammate...

He didn't punch that guy - he pimp-slapped him. Still a bone-head thing to do.

If your a SEEN throwing a punch, you will be getting ejected.

So the ref gets in our player's way and we get a 15 yard penalty for it? Pathetic. That ref is a punk.

Texas Tech had a player ejected in their bowl game for the same thing. Granted, his was a much better shot, but when seen, a punch = ejection.
The Tech punch may have cost them a TD, it definitely cost them 3 pts. A WR punched a DB in the EZ on an apparent Tech TD run; however the TD was overturned (ball was fumbled out of bounds on the 1/2 yard line.) Due to the punch the 15 yard penalty was assessed from the end of the run instead of the KO. Tech was unable to score from the 16 and had to attempt a FG. The Tech kicker made the FGA, but there was a 5 yard proceedure penatly and they were moved back 5 yards. The subsequent kick was missed.

Maybe we'd rather get humiliated to a higher degree in the Fiesta Bowl?

The bowl selection of Louisville was not exactly a motivator. The body language of the players last night told me they had no interest.

I think that was one of the most undisciplined games I've seen the Gators play, in a very long time.
For what ever reason, many of UF,s players had their head in the wrong place. No doubt they overlooked UL to some degree and I'm sure champ is POed, but he knows some of that falls on him and the staff.
What's done is done, and I think WM will use this to make his point in the off season.

I'm not so sure I ever saw 30 yards in penalties in a single play before

I'll say this about 2012: I'm now aware of two penalties that, before this year, I had never heard of. "In the white" and "roughing the snapper" are now things I know exist.

The body language of them showboating and dancing while down 20pts made it seem like they had interest. We just got our butt kicked.

I get us not wanting to be there playing the lowly cards but once they start whipping are arse you'd think the competitive juices might flow a little. We had lots to play for it just came down to lack of motivation, lack of preparation and underestimating an opponent that has something to prove.

We were at the game. Did they ever show a replay of the penalty?
