Remember what happened to Alabama
2008 alabama was undefeated goin into the SECCG lost to us then played utah and lost to them in the sugar bowl, very similar situation and their program is doing just fine, this one game does not define our season and if anything we will come back next year even more determined and if you watched the game it was just a typical bowl game upset not one thing went our way and louisville played out of their mind. Let's not freak out over one bowl game

Completely isolated instance. You don't win championships by losing bowl games. Obviously this logic makes you feel better about the outcome so carry on.

Did I miss something or is Saban coming to coach at Florida? Last night was a monumental disaster and embarrassment....it basically runined our season.

Yeah I'm pretty sure we can find some analog to every national championship team in history (hey, we wore shoes, just like the 1994 Nebraska Cornhuskers).

It's a real stretch to call the op 'logic'...it's far from it.

Its just that after every single mistake Boom ever makes people always come back to "Nick Saban made a similar mistake", well guess what Boom isn't Saban, I mean by this perspective you should bet the house on us winning the title next year right, I mean since Boom's Nick and all.

Just sayin our team is still really young and we gotta remember driskel is a true sophomore in his first year as a starter and he played solid, he only threw 4 ints all year, he should be greatly improved next year he has all the talent to do it he just has to put it together but time will, I pray that next year we come back with a vengeance and a drive and that we will be unstoppable

Spot on! I got bitched at last night for commenting that we are not Bama in any shape or form, Muschamp isn't Nick Saban and mentally we are not there yet. I think we have become a much more physical team, but do not think Bama would have come out and layed an egg like this performance.

I never once referred to nick saban nor did I mean to I was simply saying that bama went through the same thing that's just a coincidence sorry if that made y'all upset but that's not what I was tryin to do just saying that this is not the end of our program that's a bit ridiculous

The enthusiasm is appreciated, but we're nowhere near like Alabama in 2008 for a few reasons.

I really don't see the games as similar. Both programs were in different states of mind. Plus Bama was missing two or 3 OL in that game if memory serves.
Knowing Strong was on the other sideline would have been motivation enough for me. His coaching carried this team in 2006 in only Urban's second year. His job against OSU was one for the ages. I knew our defense would do well against them, but not completely shut them down like they did.

Is the thread really that bad? Seems like a lot of fans here really respect Saban and what he has done at Bama so I can understand why he would use them to make his point.

Is that the best you could come up with? Or are you just acting like an idiot. Some people just feel better about themselves when they find a chance to to critisize someone. Hope it makes you feel better.
