The negative nellies will claim they were right...
...even though this team surpassed all of our expectations.
Many of you picked us to lose 6 games...or more.
Tonight does not validate you. Tonight means nothing.
...just sayin'.

It means something.
Honestly we are what we thought we've been for the last couple months
Great D, undisciplined, bad O, and terrible passing. This game wasn't too unlike most of our games in terms of doing what we are good/ bad at. What was surprising? Many people expected high teens/mid 20s out of LVs offense. It's what they got even with tremendous field position.
Point being, with our style of play, you are going to get clunkers and highly volatile play.

My point is, They will all start with the anti-Will threads...etc. It was starting in the game thread. We had a GREAT season. This does not validate the preseason naysayers.

Negative nellies you call them...they are actually objective and rationale fans.

Yes we overachieved this year by preseason standards. But then again, when all is said and done, this may be the most talented UF defense in our history. Depends on the vantage point

Ummm, it is actually the sunshine crowd that likes to proclaim their greatness and call out GATOR fans.
Terrible thread. But can't let it float out here without banging on it

I'm referring to the ones who basically think we should be searching for a new coach. The ones that claimed we would lose 6 games.
I'm not referring to objective fans making valid points.

Having a great defense doesn't guarantee you championships. We all knew that we had a good enough defense to keep us in games, but they had to do that almost every time out for us to have a chance.
They didn't do that tonight and our offense is just not good enough to get chunk yards on a consistent basis.

Exactly. I've said it before, the so-called "Sunshine Pumpers" aren't the lovely happy joyful folks they'd have you believe. They come to post on Swamp Gas after a disappointing Gator loss for the exact same reason that the so-called "Negative Nellies" do: To vent their anger and frustration in the form of bitter complaints. The only difference is, they direct their anger toward fellow posters who will actually read their comments instead of toward coaches and/or players who will not. As far as I'm concerned that actually makes them the nastier of the two groups of fans.

Not even close to our best defense ever. I'll take the. 06 08 91 defenses over this one

Maybe to you. Then again, you're the leader so I'd expect nothing less from you.

No ones claiming greatness. I just don't think the preseason doomsayer crowd can use tonight as proof to their theories. I thought I made that clear???
No sunshine pumping here.

Same weaknesses that we had all year. Louisville did the best job at exploiting them. We're still a good team and we should be better next year.

Why can't we call a spade a spade?
1. We tremendously outperformed preseason expectations. Pumping Sunshine!
2. We will likely finish 5th in the SEC. Negative Nelly!
3. Possible top 10 finish but for sure top 15. Sunshine!
4. Driskel regressed big time over the year. Negative!
5. FSU! Pumping!
6. UGA! Nellie!
7. One of the best defenses in our history. Sunshine!
I can go on and on
Personally I try to take all of it into account.
If I had to sum up the season Id do it this way:
2012 was a good, but not great year where we finished above average in the SEC in which we had some bright spots, some question marks, and we had mixed success against rivals and it all resulted in a good building block in 2013.
Am I pumping or negative?

i said prior to the season we were an 8/9 win team...so to get 11 is a really great year in my book...here's to 2013~
my only fear is that Driskel is not the QB that Coach Boom thinks he is...
