Nothing includes:
"After spending the week around several uncommitted prospects who are taking official visits this month, Brantley decided to open up his recruitment so he can have a similar experience."

Right and do you think he does all that if his friend is committed?
Do you think a player would say to a reporter "they wont let Ira on the team so I am pissed and going to look around'?
Caleb has said before he would like to see other places but he also has made it pretty clear he would like Ira on the team as well.
[edit]
and why is FSU on his list?

The whole thing makes me wonder...
These guys get to their All-Star games, having recruitniks fawn over them, see their name up in bright lights... They all have big egos getting stroked like movie stars. All the pretty gals (colleges, for the sake of my analogy...) want them and bend over backwards with promises and begging to get them to sign on for their university.
Then WHAM!
Campus! "We gotta knock this attitude out of the kid, real quick. They're up their own backsides... You're a nobody now, freshman!" etc.
It's not surprising the whole thing messes with some of their heads really. The expectations, and balance of power change, separated by just a few months are quite incredible really.

Was wondering who might start these kind of shenanigans. Get some coaches on him, let him take visits and realize that it's not as special as he might think then bring him back into the fold.
P.S. can mods please delete the dupes of this news. I hate seeing the top of our recruiting board covered with dupes of the same negative news.

Blake Alderman tweeted that now Travonte Valentine is a "soft verbal" for 2014. He's now considering Louisville and ND. Not a good couple days for DTs

Caleb doesn't suprise me at all. I really expected this, he's been wishy washy for months.

Yes you did stop our offense very well while there but yes I was holding a grudge. From the day you got here and every time I hear you speak and your excitement about coaching our Gators, working your tale off and being a straight shooter, you are now one of my all time favorite coaches. Thanks coach.

i don't blame the kids one bit for wanting to experience visits to other schools. This is a once in a lifetime decision. I have heard muschamp on several occassions encourage the kids to take visits to be sure of their decision. there are certainly better ways to make your intentions known and brantley has not handled it well. he is a top 150 player so if uf decides to cut him loose then he will have no problem getting a scholarship from another top program. unfortunately, sometimes you have to let the drama play out and let the kids take their visits. i would just make sure we got the last visit especially after last years debacle

Like many have said, it's a long way until 2014 NSD.... BUT at least the 2014 DT talent is pretty deep, especially in the state.... There are 3 who are neck-and-neck, imho - Travonte Valentine, Demarcus Christmas and Khairi Clark. Getting 1 of those 3 is pretty crucial, getting 2 would be awesome. With all the coaching movement going on at FSU, it's not hard to imagine we'll take another run at Christmas... along with Ware (WDE/LB) and JC Jackson (DB/WR)... most recently Delvin Purifoy (LB)... It's a good thing so many of their commits have interest in us.
I think Khairi Clark is best of all, but it'll be hard to pull him out of South Florida, I would imagine. The kid has an offer from every program.
