We all heard the rumors about laying down for the draft in Atlanta a few years ago. I can't help but wonder if our 7 possible NFL players at least let it cross their minds prior to this game.

Why would they do that? To avoid getting hurt? Seems like a bad strategy to me. The bowl games usually give players a disproportionate boost to their draft stock if they play really well....I guess because you have a wider audience. Its like a bonus game.

I think we just saw a mix of:
-Players being over-confident (I don't think anyone picked Louisville in this game)
-Louisville playing the underdog card
-Bad luck (first play of the game, UL RB fumbling but bouncing right back into his chest and picking up yardage, onside kicks, etc.)
-Some players concerned about the NFL (Reed? Where was he all night?).

But I have to give credit where it's due....Bridgewater was great. He was accurate enough, he has great pocket presence, great at reading defenses, great at finding his open receivers and going through his progressions. Whenever we safety/corner blitzed, he saw it and made the correct throw to the player the blitzing corner or safety was coming off of. The complete opposite can be said about Driskel. He has a lot of work to do to be considered a quarterback.

I believe their agents have already been in their ears and maybe family too. Imo

Our NFL potentials on D were damn good tonight. Seriously, how could have Easley, Floyd and Elam played any better?

Agree, they did play hard in the second half. Maybe this was on jd and coaches.

We didn't stop them in the passing game at all.

We couldn't catch any breaks, no fumbles or interceptions in the first half, and the second half we were pressing. Turning point was first play of second half when we tried the on side kick.

Our Offense/OC/HC played to there 118 ranking tonight,dont blame the defense on this one.

The defense let them move the ball up and down the field and hold the ball for 7+ minutes each possession starting from their very first possession. You can absolutely put blame on the defense as much as the offense in this one.
