Congrats UL and Strong...
Flat out beat us tonight. No excuses here. If anyone had to do it, I'm glad it was strong. Now, as for some thoughts on the game and next season...
- Elam is gone.
- Driskel should NOT be handed the starting job next year. He has all of the physical tools and none of the mental ones.
- Matt Jones is a beast, and as much as I love Gilly, Jones was the better RB the second half of the season.
- Someone needs to learn Muschamp a thing or two on clock management.
- Poor Nixon had such a disappointing career here at Florida, and it just got worse tonight. The OL version of John Brantley.
- Reed would be foolish to leave. He has poor hands and he can't get open as much as he should.
- Dunbar was open most of the game. He will be a player for us as long as we have a QB to throw it to him.
- Nice to see you again, Mr. Debose.
- Our secondary was exposed tonight, so Elam leaving might hurt more than people believe.
- Good season Gators! Onwards and upwards.

Strong seemed like the better coach tonight, that's for sure. But Floridas terrible offense was exposed when UL had so much time to prepare for it. We needed to throw them a changeup and we didn't.

Sucks to lose, but if we gotta lose, better to lose to Charlie Strong.
Congrats to Coach Strong and the Louisville Cardinals...you earned it!
See you all next fall! GO GATORS!!!!!

Classy thread. I thought Louisville looked very good. Bridgewater has a great feel for the game. Charlie had his team very well prepared. Congrats to Louisville.
I pretty much agree with your thoughts too. There wasn't much to be happy as a Gator fan, but it should give the program a little reality check going into the off season. Lots to work on and shore up.

I think they wanted it more. Not just today, but leading up to this game.
Half our guys spent the month trying to figure out what round they were going to go in... and their guys spent the month figuring out how to beat us.
Add to that the luck was on their side, and there you have it... upset.
Don't know if you can blame the coach... just hard for the gators to get up for this game.

Agree 100%.
Remember Nebraska gave us our worst bowl loss ever (tonight was nuttin') 62-24 in 1996. And the next year we won our 1st NC!
WM's a young coach. He learned a lot from this, I guarantee it.
