Was Mullen even mentioned for bigger coaching jobs this year? Seems like I heard his name once or twice, but never seriously

Russel looks like pvt Pyle from Full Metal Jacket. Plays like I could imagine Pyle playing too.

That's what happens when you have a FB playing QB.

Nope. Seems like his boat sailed without him.
I won't forget him doing the Gator Chomp at BHG after his crew of inbreds beat UF during Urban's "Deer in the Headlights" season.

Disappointing. The only SEC loss on New Years day. I thought Mississippi State would do a lot better.

I'm a little confused at what Mullen has accomplished there other than squeak by that dysfunctional 2010 Gator team and not be completely awful. I guess it's a matter of perspective or expectation but they're still a bottom tier western division team. Granted they're at or near the top of that bottom tier, but I have a lot more faith in Auburn or Arky improving from this year than I do MSU. Ole Miss even looks to have a bigger upside right now.

Its MSU, its like taking Vandy to 8 and 9 win seasons- bowls in and of themselves are accomplishments.
