You do realize that those 2 passes you say were the problem were among the 3 passes you say weren't the problem, right?

the clemson win and georgia tech win showed that a month of prep - particularly by the underdog in these bowl games can really turn a team around. both of these teams played some great / unusually great defense. something they weren't known for at all. but they prepared and came to play. coaching staffs did a nice job.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw him throw on second and two and third and two.
Les is a moron. Those two calls just defy logic. His inability to grasp time management at end of games is shocking. Just unbelievable. Back to back terrible calls.
Unreal.

What surprises me is I was sure he would fake that punt. It looked like Dabo thought he would too cause he held back about 6 linemen.

Face it. LSU just wasn't that good this year. Les had his usual jaw-dropping luck. They won 5 games by a TD or less. Their patchwork OL beat SC only because SC played GA the week before and the refs didn't call diddly re: holding in Baton Rouge.
LSU was plainly overrated this year. Aside from their late-emerging freshman Jeremy Hill, their offense was quite bad. Spurrier beat Clemson with his backup QB (who had just one career start prior to the game) at Clemson.
If I had 1% of Miles' luck, I'd probably be a CEO somewhere.

Bad play calling at the end, but Boyd is friggin' good and the Clemson D line stood up well.

And on the other side of the coin - it's supposed to be easy to beat an option team if you have more than a week to prepare.

I just Don't understand not running Rb Ford. He ran the ball pretty good. I also was not impressed with Lsu secondary outside of Eric Reid. But I was pulling for sec but I laughed at Les Miles stupid coaching. His Gameday coaching is bad. 2 years ago they let clock run out against Tenn but Tenn had to many men on field and off course 2 or 3 years ago in the swamp the fake fg with a lucky bounce.

No. He just called us his favorite.

Absolutely...the first down completion for eight was a fantastic play according to the announcers since it was completed but truthfully it was a bold and foolish play that was only a sign of the stupidity to come on the next two plays. Mettinberger was awful all game so why not let him pass three straight plays instead of running the clock...I guess that's what miles was thinking. What a dunce.

Clemson played their best game of the season because they were better prepared. As Urban would have said, "They were more invested". I saw a crazy stat' that showed them running 100 offensive plays when LSU ran 40 some. As you'd expect they doubled LSU's offensive production. I thought Clemson's QB was the difference. He got hit often and hard but did what he had to do to keep the chains moving and LSU's D on their heels - and they did all this without their best offensive threat. Shows what a staff and team can do when they dedicate themselves for a month.

Rep what Dmann said.
Clemson just played a better and smarter ballgame IMO.

Terrible pass and Mettenberger's less than adequate play gives me confidence headed into next year. I could be wrong, but I don't think he has it.

I don't understand your logic. Miles is an idiot and costs them a game and a recruit is going somewhere because of that.
If Robinson goes to Clemson, it will be a result of other factors, such as his HS coach, playing in a weak conference where he can build up stats, etc.

The second down call was a gutsy, but not so stupid idea. It was there if his QB could make a simple pass.
Third down, though, was idiotic. Two freakin' yards with those RB's was not a stretch and at worst, you force them to use one of their time outs.

What I noticed is that Robinson never really showed us serious intrest until Joker Phillips was hired as UF's new WR's coach. I think he wants to play for Joker.
