Even last year, right after Tebow took Denver to the playoffs, there were only 2 teams even remotely interested in Tebow - the Jets and the Jaguars. And the price was only what, a 4th round draft pick?!
Tebow will almost surely get another chance. Somebody will at least have him in camp next year. And he will have the chance to prove himself.
My point is simply that it seems like a lot of people here are under the impression GMs and coaches are going to bring in Tebow as their franchise QB and build an offense around him. That is extremely unlikely!
I want Tebow to succeed. I really do. But I'm also realistic and know that after 3 seasons, if he hasn't become a starter, his options are going to become limited.
At this point, I think the Jags are probably the ONLY team that will give Tebow any chance at being a starter. But I don't think he would have the tools around him to do well.

Steve Young? 7 years. DeBerg...10 years. A couple of guys playing well this year have been in the league for over a decade. Sometimes things don't click until things click. Tim in 3 years has had 3 different coaches and 3 different OCs. If he goes to Jax, it'll be 4 different HBCs and 4 different OCs. Not many qbs can be productive with those cards stacked against them.
My opinion is the league is giving up on good players if they don't produce after 1 or 2 years. If that's the case, then half of the HOFers wouldn't be there. Sometimes it takes time and Young won how many SBs? Look at his stats. 935, 2282, 570, 680, 1001, 427, and 2517. In that time he threw 51 TDs to 35 INTs. He was also sacked 117 times. Now compare to Tim. Of course, we have only 2 years to compare but Tim's stats were far above Steve Young's first 7 years. Had Tim played the entire 2nd season, he would have had nearly 2500 yards passing.
Ryan should have been fired for wasting money on Tim since he knew beforehand Tim would never play. That alone should have fired him. It would have been better for him to spend the money on 3 good receivers.

Can Tim summon Walsh back? Now that would be a miracle.

There are absolutely exceptions to the rule and as I have said repeatedly, I don't think Tebow is done yet. Somebody will take a chance on him, at least bringing him into camp.
As I've also stated, I'm not sure I buy the story that Ryan is keeping Tebow off the field. I believe Ryan fully intended to use Tebow. I think something has happened behind the scenes, very possibly some of the offensive players making it clear they don't click with Tebow, that has kept him off the field. Something he wouldn't have known at the time they traded for Tebow.

You think the huge contract the Jets gave Sanchez might have anything to do with Tebow not being given a chance? They were stupid to give Sanchez the money they gave him and they were stupid to bring in Tebow if they were not going to find a way to use him.

If that was the case, we would have heard that from NFL insiders and NY media guys who have connections. No one has implied that at all except anonymous voices saying Tim was a bad QB. Listen to the real experts, Glazer, Mayock, Manish Mehta, and you'd know the Jets facts.
I think most Tebow fans expect him to be a backup because he will be in another new offense. Almost 1/4th of the NFL is making major changes at GM & HC, along with asst coaches being thrown under the bus left and right. Like Schottie was last year by Rex Ryan.

I'm sure it has something to do with the Jets not wanting to pull Sanchez, but doesn't explain why Tebow was brought in more as a change of pace. Nor does it explain why Tebow wasn't the choice when Sanchez was finally pulled.

His arm is fading quickly??? Do you even watch NFL football?
This is his 2nd best year, arguably his first considering what he's had to come back from.
That was a very strange comment by you.
