I give Clemson a lot of credit. They outplayed LSU and found their weakness- even though the LSU DL was so strong.
That's what a good offense does- find the opponent's weakness and exploit it.
Hate on Clemson all you want but their offense is solid. I think we could use some of their creativity and unpredictability.

As I said on the game thread, Clemson is a pretty good team. It's offense can play with anyone, I think.

In fairness though, when your offense can't do anything, and your defense is constantly out there, eventually that's going to happen.

got to give Clemson credit. Boyd no doubt played a hell of a game!! He put the game on his shoulders. That last drive....I thought there was no way in hades that Clemson would drive the field - omh!!....couldn't believe it. HOWEVER, that drive possibly would have never happened if lsu's play calling was different. Outside of the possible affect on D Rob., I could really care less about the outcome - I think that's true for most of us. As pointed out by others... I'm sure D Rob is looking down the road to see where he fits best....who's going to potentially be throwing him the rock and so forth. Gators baby!!
...and Dabo is annoying. "this is a national championship team"??? Naahhhh.......stop kidding!

Miles's explanation is that they "had to pass." He said they were unable to run. I find it hard to believe that LSU, with 2nd and 2, couldn't make 2 yards on two carries if it tried.

I was not able to watch the game last night, but it sounds like Miles did a poor coaching job. IMO, he cost his team a win against Bama and perhaps a chance to play in the SECCG.

Mess of a buger is a horrible qb. Inconsistent and immobile. LSU's offense lost the game and that last series was pitiful. If I'm the D I'd make the O walk home. The O had so manyh 3 and outs just horrible. But hey at least the O crossed midfield.

Even worse, they led 24-13 to start the 4th qtr.
Total choke job by LSU.

I don't know that they actually would have gained a first down, Clemson had been stuffing the run pretty well most of the second half. But it at least would have forced Clemson to use two time-outs and left them with only one on their last drive. No matter how you look at it (run for a first down or run to use clock) it made no sense to anyone except Miles to put the game in the hands of a QB who isn't that good.

In its past 14 games LSU has suffered three of the worst embarrassments I can recall:
(1) Never crossing the fifty vs. Bama in last year's title game.
(2) Outplaying Bama all game long, this season, then collapsing at the end.
(3) Now this.

I guess I'm in the minority in not blaming Miles' play calling. I think the announcers said they were missing three starting O-linemen and one of the replacements was a true freshman. The run was getting stuffed like a thanksgiving turkey. One of the pass plays was actually well designed and a relatively safe pass in the flat. You would expect most quarterbacks to make that pass in their sleep. I'm not trashing Metinb..whatever. He probably hits that pass 9 out of 10 times. Unfortunately, the tenth time was in the fourth quarter of their bowl game.

LSU loses to Clemson, just about loses to Auburn yet some how outplayed Bama for most of that game. Makes you wonder just how good Bama really is.

Edit:
I don't understand why so many Gator fans are embarrassed for LSU. Nor should it be an embarrassment to the SEC. I found the outcome surprising, but in no way embarrassing. The SEC has come up big in the big games, but often falls flat in the lesser bowls against lesser squads. Kudos to Clemson for coming up big against a tough LSU team.
