How the hell does a USC team, with the amount of talent they get every year, lose 5 games and then go on to lose to a 6-7 team that shouldn't even be in a bowl game.

How does Kiffen still have a freakin job?

Towards the end of the broadcast the announcers noted that USC showed up so late to a pre-game dinner event that barely anyone was there. Ga. Tech had left after an hour & fifteen minutes, then USC showed up and stayed just a few minutes. It was totally disrespectful of the bowl organizers, sponsors, chamber if commerce, city, etc. They also pointed out that USC's statement of explanation was blatantly false. It was as blunt a rebuke of a program as I've ever seen on a game broadcast.

USC is one of the most historical, elite programs in the country. I cannot understand why - even under probation - they would continue propping up this clown.

ACC #2 squeaks by SEC #4. The ACC has 2 decent teams (top 25) but that doesn't make them "back". To be "back" you have to have been there in the first place, which they never have been. FSU remained elite for their first 10 years in the ACC - largely because no one in the ACC could compete with them. It was years before UVA upset them, barely, on a Thursday night.

Right now they would do well to get "back" to mediocrity. NC State getting waxed by Vandy doesn't portend improvement.

That said, Clemson could & should be an SEC- style team. If they, FSU, scUM & Va Tech get back to their prior success and BC & Ga Tech get back to being solid then the ACC will get "back" to being the 4th best conference (or so) rather than their current 7th.

What a karmic gob-smack. It's too precious...Tech had to petition the NCAA to allow them to go bowling at 6-7, saying in effect, we WERE a .500 team, the ACC Chumpionship loss shouldn't count against us. Bahahahahaha.
