My parents got the ugly car lecture from my brother and I when they bought a Plymouth Valiant in the early 60s. It had a push button transmission. Is that the one you drove? My brother submerged it in a marsh while racing around spinning circles at night. He got timeout for about 6 months on that little deed.

Bet you used to stop at the A&W Rootbeer place in Ruskin? I think that was the only place to get a burger between Sarasota and Tampa on 41.

It was actually a manual transmission w\ the shifter on the right hand side of the steering column.
Eventually we upgraded to a Barracuda which was very fast & a lot more fun to drive(273 V-8).

There was an automatic version too.
If I recall there was a lever to pull up or down to get in to or out of park. The push buttons were D for drive, N for neutral, R for reverse. The make was Plymouth the model was Valiant (fore runner if the duster, year was 63 or 64. Also, it came with a small but peppy Slant 6 that was easy to work on.

House electrical circuit fuses that screwed into the fuse box. When a circuit blew you had to replace the fuse.
How about hanging aluminum foil off the tv antenna to get a better picture.
