Ssssshhhh! Stop using common sense around here. It's much easier to just assign "good guys and cheats" to the recruitment arena.

The reason Spiller didn't transfer, was because his girlfriend and baby somehow were moved from Gainesville to Clemson and provided a place to live. That sounds a little shady to me.

Sorry but splitting Carlos Watkins and Jonathan Bullard is not a "draw."

It's a pretty vast mischaracterization to say that Clemson "has our number."

Go Gators!!!

What's missing is they forgot to ask... "How many national championships did Spiller and Ford celebrate while at Clemson, and how many did UF's players enjoy during that time?"

I'd rather a team have our number in pulling recruits from us head to head, than in having our number in winning championships with or without them. Spiller didn't even come close to winning a NC. Not that it matters to him, he is playing in the pros and making plenty of money.
Had he come here however, it is likely that he would have won 3 maybe 4 championships with the team we had and his skill.

Probably because, typically, if a program hasn't won a NC in 30 years, never competes for NC's, has only a single conference title in the last 20 years, lost it's only BCS bowl game 70-33, plays in the absolute worst BCS conference (2-13 .133 all-time BCS bowl record) in the nation, and has lousy academics, it doesn't usually "outrecruit" a program that has won 3 NC's in that same 30 years, competes for NC's regularly, has 7 conference titles in the last 20 years, has played in 6 BCS bowls going 5-1 in them, plays in the undisputed best conference in the country (16-7 .696 all-time BCS bowl record), and has great academics... especially for prospects from the successful program's state.
If it happened occasionally, it might be written off without another thought; that it continues to happen every year, when CU still really hasn't accomplished anything noteworthy, is suspicious. Basically, there's not a single advantage to picking an average team like Clemson, in an awful conference like the ACC, over a mega-successful program like Florida that's in your home state, and who competes in the most dominant conference, the SEC.
That's like being offered your choice of a Porsche Boxster S or a Volkswagen Golf, free of charge... and taking the Golf. Makes you wonder if the prospect is even smart enough to be in college in the first place.

I've been to the Clemson campus and it's OK but doesn't come close to Uof F campus.
Iv'e been to Baton Rouge, Starkeville, half-ass-u, UT and a few others and none of them compare well to G'ville except maybe UGA.
