I can't stand either programs arrogance, but Go Irish! Bama's egos need to checked. It probably won't happen until we get them in the SECCG if ND doesn't win. Call it selfish, but I don't want bama 09-12 doing better than UF 06-09. It's 2 SECs for each, but 3 BCSNCs to 2 in favor of bama. The 11 mulligan has given bama the chance to win 3 national championships in four years.

ND played a good schedule.

Good maybe - not enough to be in the NC game - plenty of others played better and just because they have a loss they are excluded. ND gets in because of the sports talk homers.

They also got extremely lucky in two of their games. Stanford went to OT, and the refs missed it. and don't even get me started on the one massive game of luck they had against a bad Pitt.

Well, it's not like Bama didn't get extremely lucky in the SECCG. They had the extreme good fortune of Georgia snapping the ball to Murray in the final seconds. Otherwise, they lose that game too.

At least UGA was a good team. A national championship caliber team should not need phantom PIs, idiot coaches on the other side, missed 33 yard field goals, and triple OT to beat a bad team

Had they been in the SEC they wouldn't have. That's why the BCS is a joke.

I'm not so sure that being an SEC team confers some sort of immunity. I suspect ND matches up well vs. Bama.

Just like Boise matched up well for one game against the sooners. It's all about a season long schedule.

And clearly ND did what it needed to do, while Bama arguably (again) gets a pass for being an SEC team.

Can't argue the first part. Wish we could play out of a conference and play average teams for the most part. We'd have more titles most likely.
I disagree about the latter. I guarantee you'd place your money on bama against almost anybody.

Starting change my mind. NBC is showing an all day marathon on ND's undefeated season, next weekend. What a joke. This game is gonna suck!

Lucky for us that undefeated word will soon be changed.

Nothing Dame needs to be spanked and put back where they came from. They are irrelevant.

I agree. If anybody's going to beat Bama and make them a bitch, its going to be us. Not some lucky Irish men!

They represent more good in the sport, in their athletes, in their program, than Bama. Regardless of the love that third parties give them. If you don't think Bama has a network, you've never heard 5 hours of Paul Finebaum. Bama has its own newspaper, aka Al.com. It has a whole fricking state.
Bama? Saban answers to no one. Not even the athletic director.
Bama - in the path of the gators each season - at least in theory - to get to a BCS game.
Bama- recruiting in the gator's backyard. And that means GA as well as FL, and the panhandle.
ND is good, Saban is evil.
I revel in the fact that my pure support for ND winning this game will - I hope - cause angst and perhaps backlash from those on this board. RELISH IT.
b/c at the end of the game, as the clock ticks down to zero, I'll still be a GATOR. a dyed in the wool graduate, with more than 250 games attended. And no one takes that away.
I'll have a toast, and say your names out loud - LOGARTOS - and then laugh.laugh I say!
Go irish!

This post makes me wish we had a button to nuke reputation away.... C'mon are you serious?!?! ND has recruiting power over the entire country. If they win, we will lose more recruits in our back yard compared to Bama. The BCSCG hasn't even been played yet and ND already took Greg Bryant #2 RB from Delray Beach, FL and Mike Heuerman #6 TE from Naples, FL.
