Looks like 8A got a bit tougher, 7A didn't lose much because Central Miami moved up which will make up for the loss of Manatee and Fletcher moving down from 8A helps to offset the others.

Just curious what the logic is for some districts having up to 10 schools while others have as little as 4 or 5 in the same region noless. Small school/rural areas I get but that doesnt seem to explains some of this. 7A in S Fla is the best example of this.

I believe the 7 school districts are in counties that have enough schools to make 7 school districts. Hillsborough, Dade, Broward, Orange ect. The smaller districts are in less populated counties..... I know what you are saying though, doesn't seem fair.

I believe the 7 school districts are in counties that have enough schools to make 7 school districts. Hillsborough, Dade, Broward, Orange ect. The smaller districts are in less populated counties..... I know what you are saying though, doesn't seem fair.

BTW those are not final, the FHSAA says some minor changes are pending. I think a school can apeal If there is reason to move 1 classification. I believe travel distance or a move to preserve a local rivalry would be considered in an apeal.

Gather and Chamberlain are 5 miles apart, old rivals and aren't even in the same division? Things certainly have changed since I was at Gaither!

It's always been very bizarre in how they move schools around. This has been going on forever, even in the mid 80's when I was at Clearwater High and they were building Countryside. It seemed like every year we would play teams that were in our division that weren't there the year before. I think the powers that be just get board and have to do this kind of stuff to justify their crazy salaries.

Coach Muschamp: When I saw that we hired you I was very upset due to your clinics while you were at Auburn on "How to stop Florida's offense." Yes you did stop our offense very well while there but yes I was holding a grudge. From the day you got here and every time I hear you speak and your excitement about coaching our Gators, working your tale off and being a straight shooter, you are now one of my all time favorite coaches. Thanks coach.
