You already know I'm going to ask if that means we "dropped the ball" or feel good about someone higher on our board. So who would that be?

I think once he got that offer he was going there. I also think the other players on the board are better.

Or we didn't want him enough to give him a in-home?
And why would we worry about what some other school does?

With staff wanting another WR; and high probability of another LB - do they "take back" Powell, or a T. Johnson? Or is a Keith Kelsey a NSD take OR do they not sign another LB?
Just running #'s with possible transfers and early departures against the possible commitments
Or did I miss a mock NSD list

Riles Ivey Sheirt.
Riles and Ivey could eventually move inside both already weight around 270lbs. Sherit has a torn ACL.
Ivey is my "Morrison" of this class. Morrison was my favorite commit last year and I thought he would get playing time early. I feel the same way about Ivey.
That being said we need a DE/BUCK guy who is a big time pass rusher. The options right now are Bowers Daniels & Hatcher.

My issue was that you fixated on the least important aspect of my post and then despite being corrected 4 times, wouldn't let it go. When I said that Mitchell was likely going to OSU but that stranger things had happened in recruiting, that was not a reason to worry about whether or not Scout was up to date with its mention of his medium interest in the Gators. Once again, I stated he almost definitely wouldn't be coming to Florida but the truth is he still isn't commited elsewhere and having seen more than 3 decades of gator recruiting, stranger things really HAVE happened.

Tunsil thoughts
Tunsil is one of a handful we've missed because of our proximity to them. Does "Familiarity breed contempt"? Who knows, maybe he just wants to get away.
He could be a player because of his hype that expects to have LT sewed up without any hassle or competition. Georgia would be his likely destination if that's the case or FSU with all the promises yet disguising all the hard work and player development required.
We have some proven talent he would have to compete with, but that might have him intimidated and not good for a prima donna who relishes a me versus team mentality.

Regarding Tunsil, I think proximity to where he grew up is likely a factor in deciding where to attend school. I played HS football in Palm Beach County. I had a few offers, (none from major schools) to attend college. For me, distance was a MAJOR factor in my decision. Mostly due to the schools being too far away. But I also wanted to get away from South Florida too. I turned down an offer from Wofford and decided to attend UF on academic scholarships and grants, giving up football totally. I graduated from UF, married my wife while in college and have zero regrets. Personally, I think it's so easy to overlook that these are young kids making big time life decisions, and often they're torn even after deciding. I know I was. I questioned my decision not to play college ball for years.

If you read all of this kids rants on the web, it's sounds to me as if he wants the starting position just handed to him. If that's the case then I'm glad we're not getting him to sign.

There's a classmate of Tunsil's who has posted on this board. He says Tunsil loves the Gators but wants out of the state of Florida. Wears Gator colors all the time, pulls for the Gators in every game. Just doesn't want to spend his college career at UF.
As far as what kind of guy he is, a close friend met him while bringing her son down to Junior Day last year. Said he was a great kid, gracious, respectful and very popular with the other players.

Tyler Bray is going to the NFL, Mr. North. Come on down to UF, be our go to receiver and win a MNC as a freshman.
