For the second time this season and second consecutive game, Mike Rosario is the Gator Box Score MVG as he led the Gators in the dismantling of overmatched Southeastern Lousiana, 82-43. Mike led the Gators in scoring with 20 points on 8-13 shooting, including 4-8 from the arc. He also chipped in 6 boards and 4 assists with only 1 turnover giving him a Value Score of 97. The next two top producers where also guards, Scottie Wilbekin and Mike Frazier. Scottie scored 9 points with 6 boards, 4 assists, 1 steal and 1 blocked shot for a Value Score of 72. Frazier III scored 12 points, tied Rosario and Wilbekin for a team leading 6 rebounds and dished out 2 assists with no turnovers for a Value Score of 64.

Guard play led the Gators offensively while Gator overall team defense shut down the SELA Lions, including only allowing 17 points in the second half. This game served as a tune up for the next big big match up at 8-2 Kanas State on ESPN2, Saturday 22 Dec at 8:00.

I was not bothered in the slightest about your assertion that Mike Rosario did not deserve Box Score MVG. GC and NBN is a Gator fan website that allows people to voice their opinions on Gator sports. Just because we disagree, doesn't mean I'm upset with your opinion or I don't respect your opinion.

I do take issue with your posting Box Score MVG using my scoring system and posting wrong scores using my system. I always post the top three scores and provide a link to the rest of the team scores for readers to view if they wish. On occasion I fat finger a wrong stat into a person's line, but the data is available for all to see so I get corrected when it is posted wrong. You've hand calculated the numbers and got several wrong. Bottomline, I encourage you to continue to post your comments and variations of statistical analysis but I ask you not to use my system to post Gator Box Score MVG results.

IRT to Mike Rosario winning Box Score MVG in the Arizona game, that is what the standardized box score numbers reflected. It wasn't based on emotions or bias. It was simply a fact as calculated by the same standardized scoring system I have used all year. If people want to dispute Mike being MVG based on subjective analysis, that's perfectly fine with me. Regardless, any mistake made by Mike Rosario on the inbounds play does not negate the overall contributions by Mike over the course of the game. Mike was not the reason why the Gators lost. Statistically, Mike was the main reason why the Gators almost won a tough game on the road against a very good team.
