State fb finals florida
This past weekend in Orlando there was major talent on display at the 5A, 6A, 7A, and 8A football finals. You may see all the games 1A thru 8A on Christmas Day on Brighthouse. Check the talent out and judge for yourself who you think are the players. My observation, #24 Chris Thompson of Gainesville High (a Gator Commit) had zero impact on that game and I observed at least a dozen other skill players in these final games which looked and played like future collegiate stars. The kind of players that their teams rally around. Not so #24. Did not see any of those characteristics I just mentioned in Gainesville High's State Final.

You know you can't report anything negative about our recruits. It's alright to lie to us if you have too.

To judge any recruit after watching one game is lame.

I wouldn't mind that receiver for Cypress Bay committing to UF.

Kid had an awesome game. Last I heard he had no offers from big time schools, unless you count Wisconsin. Of course after that performance things might change.

I hope Alex gets an offer! I know him personally, although not close at all! More of like that kid I hung out with in P.E. class kinda thing. Great guy.

Thought the Cypress Bay WR/CB was an awesome athlete.
What about the QB and also the Apopka QB. Are the '13 or '14? They were both very good.

Cypress Bay QB was a senior. Very elusive and had a pretty good arm....not great size so not sure what his options are.
Darlington is a junior. Really improved his game this season, much better runner (I would describe him as nimble) and his passing was solid. Throws downfield very well, gets into trouble when he goes wide often because he is late. Arm strength is very good, played thru he playoffs with a cracked wrist on his throwing hand and still put up very big numbers. Zach's brother Ty was a freshman at Oklahoma this year, was slated to redshirt but ended up being the starting center and did a very solid job for the Sooners.

Did Darlington coach in Ga. for a few years? His name is very familiar.
CB QB was a terrific athlete. Is he committed somewhere?
Think the Darlington kid has very good FB IQ as he managed the game very well. Kind of looks like a Saban type QB. (sad to say)
After watching both Ga. and Fla, playoffs, they were as good as any QBs I saw.
Can't believe that Apopka HS has 3,600 students... My God where has time gone. Was just a sleepy community when I was in H.S. I guess you could say that about a lot of places in Fla.

Too bad F$U has Yearby from Central on their 2014 list. He looks like the real deal.

Scholarships are golden to colleges like UF. CT wouldn't have been offered or allowed to commit if he wasn't up to scratch. As has been said, 1 game is not a good basis for assessment.

I'm not dissing the kid from Cy Bay at all, he certainly had an awesome game. Just pointing out that the one knock I think recruiters have on him is his speed or lack of speed. You have to realize those DBs he was up against for Apopka were in the 5'6 height range too, could he have gone up and got those balls against a 6 footer? He sure has great hands and strength though and obviously will be playing saturdays for someone.

CB WR also seemed to be a very agile CB on D. Maybe he is not fast but he was dominant in that game and big game players come through in big games.

Down to 4300 + now last I heard with the opening of west broward high and some redistricting. Still might be the biggest in the state, not sure. Apparently, coach guandolo kept all the good football players tho. At least he already has a couple of state championships on his resume from his days at Chaminade.

Yup, all varsity players stayed, football and no football. Most should be gone by now
