Gville Sun's Zach A's Recruiting Mailbag 12/13
Nice summary by position with very recent info....
M Adams, L Tunsil, Collins, Bower, Davis, Bostwick, Daniel,Johnson, Ramsey, Alexander
Good info...Good Job Zach!!!
http://recruiting.blogs.gatorsports....il-stack-1213/
Aside from fullback Kennard Swanson and linebacker Jarrad Davis, Florida’s other 16 remaining targets are ESPN300 members and 14 are in the Top 150.
Swanson was scheduled to officially visit this weekend, but his trip has been pushed back to Jan. 18. The former LSU commit openly admits he wants to go to UF, but he must improve his grades to have a chance at qualifying. So I wouldn’t count him in the basket just yet.
Almost every question I got this week asked where the Gators stand with certain prospects or who they’ll likely finish with. I’m not ready to put out a mock class, but what I will do for this Mail Stack is go over the positions of need and give my thoughts on the targets still left on the board.
More names will likely pop up between now and National Signing Day, but the prospects below are the ones Florida is focusing on.
And for those that missed it, here’s from blog from Tuesday that breaks down the maximum number of prospects UF can sign in this recruiting cycle.

River - I agree and I believe we are much more agreeable on non political topics such as Gator sports.

The only downside to this uproarious success is ... lack of signing-day drama. Remember the Spurrier days when we'd go into NSD with about three commits ?

Interesting tidbit about Tunsil..since the NCAA has not cleared him to take official visits yet, could that mean that he has grade issues and might not qualify?

That stuck out to me as well. I wonder if academics have been at the heart of his disinterest with us. Perhaps he was told early on in the recruiting process by our coaches that we are very interested but that he has a lot of work that he needs to do on the academic side to be a Gator. For someone who we have read grew up somewhat of a Gator fan and is right down the road, at least this could offer some explanation to his overt level of disinterest in playing at UF.
I'm not saying there aren't other factors such as depth charts, wanting to further off to school, etc. But this could also be a contributing factor and perhaps more than just contributing.

The nature of recruiting has changed entirely since then. In Spurrier's day, the only teams that would fill up early were Texas, OSU and Michigan. It wasn't a big advantage.

He doesn't owe fans anything. That being said he has said on may occasions that he likes the plan Georgia has for him.

Owe fans? I don't see where you made that leap from the portion you had bolded??? Odd
I guess what I am saying it's not usually one thing, but many. Since he grew up a fan and we are recruiting him hard, it just seems odd that he has been quoted as being so disinterested in UF. I'm not saying I'm right, but just offering further explanation.
I'm sure he is sincere about the Georgia plan.

I don't think Bryan Allen would allow one of his players that is so highly recruited to just not send in his paper work. It's possible, just tough to believe.

The staff has recruited him hard so has everybody else. He has always liked Georgia's staff. He also likes Tirkett from FSU which seems impossible. The one thing about Tunsil is he has been consistent and never tried to play recruiting games for attention, which I respect. I hope he shocks the world and picks Ole Miss.

Fully agree: if the guy doesn't like us, he doesn't like us. He seems to be a good kid and a great prospect and I wish him well: hopefully at Ole Miss.
