I think pretty much all the CC stuff is brewed to drink fresh, not aged. At least that's what they tell me in the tasting room.

I have 4 Pliny the elder and 3 Firestone Walker Double Jack's waiting on my doorstep when I get home. I'm pretty excited about that.

Nice...Pliny and Double Jack. Sounds like a nice evening for you.
Last night had some home brewed IPA. Tonight I will be having some home brewed Kolsch and then some Great Divide Yeti Imperial Stout.
Saving a bottle of North Coast Old Rasputin 12th Anniversary Russian Imperial Stout that has been cellared for a year to go with Christmas dinner. Been looking forward to this one.

Just found out a limited release of the Belgian Trappist Westvleteren went on sale on 12/12/12. Of course it sold out the same day and I missed it, dammit! Rated the best beer in the world and almost impossible to get in the US before then.

Where did you get it.
You know what I hate about the deal from Total Wine and More? Is that the send a mass email to everyone about it and it gets sold out like it's Black Friday by a bunch of stay at home moms who don't even drink Belgian beer.
Now if you got to ebay and look up the special packaging, I bet it's the same people selling them for $400 a pop. It's ridiculous, and I'm pissed.
Had to vent there. Thanks guys

Went for a late evening walk to the local watering hole and had a pint of Three Floyds Zombie Dust, followed by two 12 oz pours of Dreadnaught. Have still never gotten my hands on Zombie Dust in the bottle.
Got a big celebration coming up on Sunday afternoon. Our Sensei is retiring and moving to Hawaii after running this dojo for 23 years. We're going to a Thai restaurant that doesn't serve alcohol, but does bottle service, so you can bring anything you want. I'm thinking of buying six or seven bombers of various IPAs, singles to doubles to the strongest thing I can find, then do a little tasting. There will be about 15 of us, but I know of a few people who don't drink beer, some don't drink anything, and there will be at least two minors. I figure I'll be treating seven or eight people.

I bought mine as a gift, but I tend to agree. I don't care for the style of beer.
That being said, you figure the glassware is worth about $20-25. So then $55-60 for the 6 pack...about what I might pay for 6 say DFH 120. So I suppose I've spent a similar amount on 6 beers. So in this case, I could see justifying paying the money for a beer you can't normally get in the USA. It's kind of a one time thing, not something you would do on a regular basis.
Besides, if that's not enough you figure you're donating money to help some monks out!

Total wine in Tampa. The cool thing is there were 2 left after I got mine. While shopping I saw who got the last 2....two soldiers. Good for them.

Tried a Whale's Tale Pale Ale two nights ago. Nantucket Brewers. Pretty solid with salmon.

I bought my Westy brick at TW Orlando and they had about 6 cases when I left. Half is mine and half will be a gift. Looking forward to trying it, just wish the glass wasn't so small.

Walking in CC tasting room. About to have a white oak IPA and puppy's breath porter. Then repeat.

Pick up a BA big sound if they have any, I'll accept it for Xmas!
I'm drinking a Weyerbacher Quad. 11%abv but hides it well. A little sweeter than I like my quads but not a bad beer.

Actually, the more I drank of the Weyerbacher the less I liked it. Too sweet and one dimensional for a quad.
