Similarly Frazier is not going to sub in at the one, but will likely sub in at the two or three when Boynton goes to the one.
Frazier? To my knowledge, he has never played the one. Some two, but mostly three. What this should do is get Ogbueze back on the court.

Why would BO see the Court more? He really hasn't shown anything in his min. He has done nothing on offense and been blown by on def way too often.

If I recall correctly, the Gators were in essentially the same position when Yeguete was lost at the end of last season, meaning that Prather had to get minutes at the 4.

The only additional backup then was Larson, who saw an average of about 5 minutes per game during the tournaments.

This is exactly the same situation, except that Yeguete is really a better all around player than Murphy. Murphy does bring the 3-point shot, but so does Prather, albeit not as frequently.

Until Wilbekin came back, this year, the Gators played with a 6-man roster (e.g. Wisconsin).

Admittedly, it leaves the team incredibly thin up front, and due to Prather's moving up front, thinner on the wings, but they do have a couple of Frosh in addition to Frazier who have shown some ability in Graham and Walker. Ogbueze, unfortunately, has not shown much as yet, hopefully, however, the light will blink on for him at some point.

Donovan seems pleased with his defense. Offense has been the issue, as well as the minutes crunch at guard with Wilbekin and Prather back. Murphy's injury mitigates the that a bit.

Murphy will play without a doubt IMO. If there is ONE guy in the starting five that a hip pointer would have the least amount of affect on it is Murphy. His skill set from an athletic POV would be altered the least out of anyone on the team.

Sure have. Its not like Murph had world class speed or leaping ability to begin with. The dude plays a ground game. He'll be ready to go.

If Murphy sits and I have no idea if he'll be ready, I suspect that Billy D will go to the formula he used when Wilbekin and Prather were out, which is to substitute liberally in the first half, go perhaps 10 deep depending on the foul situation, then stay with the 7 guys in the second half.

I don't have reel-to-reel, but if I did the film would probably tell me he has been up and down, like all freshmen. He expressed confidence in him three weeks ago despite limited minutes and I suspect he gets another opportunity tonight, even if it again in limited minutes.

Apply the cortisone and inject the Ben Gay. Murph won't even feel the hip pointer.

It is hard to compare the rather different games of Yeguete and Murphy. I actually think Murphy is a much bigger matchup advantage because he opens the floor so much in the half court sets. You can run him at the four and he creates space for the five to operate without a double or you can run him at the five and open driving lanes all across the floor.

Yeguete is sort of the equivalent of a great utility player in baseball because he does so many things well. Great rebounder at both ends, energetic defender who can guard three positions, good loose ball guy, and now a more diverse offensive player who has shown he can get to the rack against slower guys, post up smaller guys, and even shoot when he is left open on the perimeter. I would probably say that Yeguete is a far more versatile player, but Murphy is the greater mismatch.

I still don't see the benefit of trying to aggrandize one at the expense of another. I know Themistocles was doing it in a more objective compare-contrast sort of way, but too often in the past it has been used more to denigrate another player. That's what the Walker-bashers did last year, the Tyus-bashers before that, Werner before that, Moss, Colas, Nelson, et al. That's what gets old to me.
