Hard to believe anyone would seriously think that Reed wouldnt be drafted or would be a 6th roung pick. Just because he didnt put up big numbers in the Gators' offense, doesnt mean he doesnt have plenty of skills that a pro offensive coordinator would love to take a shot at developing. Also, selfishly I hope they all stay, but Floyd has a shot at being a first rounder, hard to pass on that.

You must realize that these are 20-21 year old youths.
The decision to stay or leave is frequently not based on rational analysis of their probabilities.
The more who stay, obviously, the better for the defense next year, and one or two might really want another chance at an SEC championship since that was what they saw as the future when they were recruited, and for this 2010 class, this past year was the first time they even sniffed that possibility.

I am just hoping at least one of Easley or Floyd will stay.
If one or both do stay then i have no worries. If both leave then our dline will take a major hit.

I think it would be a big mistake for Easly to leave. At 280, he is not big enough to play on the interior Dline at the NFL level. He needs to come back and put on 20 pounds and prove he can play at that weight. If Elam and Easly return, we will be very tough defensively. If Floyd comes back (wishful thinking) along with Easly and Elam, this will be the best defense in the country. We may start the year ranked No. 1.

You people are nuts, he's raw but Reed is in the Gates/Gonzalez mold-- he's not as good a college player as Hernandez was (though some of that is our anemic offensive design) but he might be a better pro prospect.

If you don't like my opinion then fine, but don't act like a a$$ in the process. Reed needs at least one more year to get into the top 3 rounds, but if he leaves now...........minimum NFL wage.
And by the way, he's okay right now and could get very good next year if he stays for another year however, Reed in no where near as good as Hernandez was when he left for the pros. It's not even close.........not at this point in reeds development.
Reed is a great (raw) talent that needs more shaping, one day he could very well be a pro-bowler.

Reed still likes to hop/jump on half his catches....
His blocking has improved...but still is not there yet

I don't think Reed will ever be as good as Hernandez. It's almost unfair to compare him the two. Hernandez is deadly after the catch. He has running back type moves to go along with power. And his hands are better. I think Reed is a good pro prospect and will make a nice living for a few years in the NFL. That alone means he's an elite athlete. But he is no Hernandez and I don't think he ever will be. Again not a slight on Reed, more of a compliment to Hernandez. That guy is a player. He will be in the league for at least 10 years.

I am not sure Reed needs another year to get into the top 3 rounds. And anybody saying he might not get drafted is just plain wrong period. Jordan Reed goes pro he will get drafted. Lol at anybody thinking there are 253 better pro prospects than Jordan.

Reed has a LOT to learn about receiver, period. Good luck to him, whatever he decides.

It is so hard to tell with Reed. Because of poor quarterback play, he hasn't really been able to put up good numbers the last few years. His biggest plays basically came on middle screens. The combine will be absolutely essential if he wants to be a first day pick. How fast does he run in times situations? Shuttle? How good is his vertical? How lean/muscular can he get before then? Those are questions I would ask if I were advising him. He has enough talent and film to get drafted, but how high he goes will depend largely upon what the scouts see in shorts.

Tend to agree. He leaves the ground for no apparent reason often, and he doesn't continue stride toward the ball on others. He needs some field awareness improvement on the sidelines, as well.

Isn't Reed a good bit smaller than those guys? Is he really big enough to tbe the prototypical NFL TE?
AH is so good but that's because Gronk can fill the big TE role, not sure reed is even as big as Aaron.
Need to go look at the roster maybe reed has gained some size, thought he was in the 240 range and Gonzalez, Gates, etc are around 260 or so...
